You guys came here, and opened up the ground, then some other team came and put about a meter of extension of the pipe.My gas engineer told me that he will come and move the gas meter, so I wouldn't end up without heating or water in that day.I called you - and you said that it's ok to cancel the gas technician on your side and that I would be refunded for that.My gas engineer came, moved the gas meter, connected it, and connected about 5 meters of copper pipe into the gas boiler and living room heating. that cost me about £650.I have called you guys, and you refunded me for £36.I found it really funny that when I need to pay anyone for anything related to gas - it must be hundreds of £. but when I need a refund, here is £36,I paid you £181 - for digging - you did a good job.i paid you £776.57 for just cutting the gas pipe and putting it into the wall. that is it. why is it so expensive, and when I ask for a refund it's only £36? why is it not £200? £300?It took your engineer maybe half an hour to do it, the digging took more than that. the entire job here was not complicated, and my gas engineer did way more.All I ask from you is to be fair with me and not refund me for £36. this is not fair.I did this job in first place because when I bought this house, I didn't know that the previous owner put your gas pipe under my floor.in the first place, you could have do it for free (you did give me a small discount, but again now I have paid around £1500 for this job) - and for what... I don't care where the gas meter is - I just want everything to be legal - I called you, I asked you - in the advice of my gas engineer.Cadent, be nice - please refund me with a fair amount and not £36. this is kind of a joke, the job here was not crazy- especially the part that cost £776.57. you didn't move the gas meter into the roof. you just cut the pipe and connected it somewhere else where the pipe was already there. so basically I would have never asked for a refund if you had connected the gas meter too, but that required more job to be done - my engineer has also taken it out from the wall, put it in the new place, connected it, and did a safety test - you have never done that too.and btw - I'm chasing you around a week and no one called me back. and the customer connection team is terrible - just want to end the call as quickly as they can - and every time I start talking they cut me off and start saying something else.I hope at least here someone will hear me out. thanks.
Gas pipes replacement in my road left me with no gas for 3 days after being told everyday someone would be out to reconnect me. Luckily a sub contracted engineer working late across the road noticed I had no pipes to my property and knocked on my door asking If I knew I had no gas, I told him what had been happening and he got it resolved the next day. 1 week later another note through my door saying gas will be cut off again. For 4 days now I have been trying to get someone to tell my why they are cutting me off again and how long will I be without gas again this time. Customer service do nothing, say they will look into it every day and call me back but no calls back have spent over 5hrs over many days calling them and being on hold just to be told the same thing each time that's its been escalated and someone will look into it. Appalling.
Engineer Ryan Green (60011919) attended gas leak reported within the hour and conducted a thorough investigation. Once located, the gas meter needed replacing. This was done quickly and efficiently, Ryan explaining to me what was wrong and exactly what he would need to do to resolve the problem.Ryan remained reassuring throughout his visit and left me with the necessary paperwork, at the same time informing me he would report the necessary detail to my gas supplier. Thank you so much, this experience has re-established my faith that truly qualified and dedicated tradespeople exist.
I want to relocate my gas meter about 2 meter from where it is, so I called Caden gas and they quote me £880 they said because they have to bring new pipe from the street and drill under my garden and they have to apply permission from the council, and I have to pay the amount in full before the work start, so I did pay, on the day they came with the big machine and the they said, no we do not need to drill because we can see the pipe on your wall , they did the job in four hours, I called Caden gas the next day to complain because they quote me on 2 days job and they done it in four hours, so they charge me£220 per hour, it is a ripoff, stay away from them, they said no discount
We had a gas leak outside our house after Severn trent came to replace a water line.. cadent came and tried to resolve the issue but after working all day on it the issue couldn’t be resolved and they had to cap our gas off.. the engineers were very knowledgeable and kept us updated all day. They gave us food vouchers to order food in which I thought was a nice touch.. the following day they were back first thing and installed a new gas pipe to the house, they didn’t stop work again all day.. eventually we were reinstated and people came to re-lay our Slabs and tarmac the pavement quickly afterwards. It all ran like clockwork.. a couple of days later we received a parcel from cadent and there was a hamper inside with some really nice biscuits and cake. Really impressive and the reason I just had to write a review. They went above and beyond and the engineers were a credit to your company.
CADENT ARE WORKING ON CASTLE HILL BREDBURY THE ROAD IS SINGLE LANE WITH A LIGHT SYSTEM ON IT,,,, WHATS THE POINT IN HAVING IS OPEN IFYOU DRIVE DOWN AND ITS FREQUENTLY BLOCKED BY TRUCKS AND PLANT EQUIPMENT YOU HAVE TO TURN ROUND OR WAIT ..... JUST CLOSE IT ! RESIDENTS CAN GET ROUND THE OTHER WAY
Suspecting a gas leak I called Cadent Saturday evening they advised an engineer would be with me within 2 hours - an hour later an engineer arrived (sorry didn’t get his name) and was very polite/friendly and respected my property and completed a thorough job checking all pipework both in/outside the house even checking my neighbours property before leaving so that i was reassured. Thank you for a quick efficient response.
One morning I came downstairs and as I walked into the room where the boiler is kept, I noticed a faint unusual smell. I couldn't put my finger on it, but then when I walked back in the room a while later, I recognised the smell as gas. We had recently moved house and I was second guessing whether this could be "normal" for older houses and didn't want to waste anyone's time, but called the emergency gas number just to be sure. They advised me to open the windows and doors, and gave me intructions on how to turn off the gas with the lever at the meter. A friendly and reassuring engineer from Cadent came out within an hour, and set to work straight away to determine the source of the leak. After a short while of testing a few different things, the source of leak within the boiler was identified. He advised that Cadent were unable to fix the boiler as it's an appliance rather than a pipe and would need a new part, but helped me make a list of who to contact and told me what to say. He safely capped off the gas supply, and then went and fetched two fan heaters from the van which he gave to us free of charge to keep us warm over the weekend until we could get someone round to fix the boiler. He also offered us a portable hob, but luckily we have an electric rather than gas hob. I can't thank Cadent enough for coming out so fast and helping me with the gas leak, and making sure that we had heaters to stay warm.
Cadent used contractor CS pipetech ltd for my area, like others have said park any where they like, blocked pavements and drives, leave fences and mess every where, no consideration given for any one else, road in a mess also grass verge in a mess and all dug up, worked up to 23:00 contecting you and testing leaving front doors open in -03 c, caused gas leaks in main pipe before replacing so had to call gas emergencies who then blame the cowboy contractors.Utter cowboys and cadent complaints are no help either and just fob you off all in all like the back end of a donkey.
