Where do I begin

Where do I begin. I had my gas left disconnected over the weekend. Then a hole in my garden for weeks. The woman called Ellisa (on behalf of cadent) started to deal with the issue but she was rude and had no customer service or any decent manners. At one point she accused me of lying without verifying the facts. When chasing she stopped returning phone calls and emails. I raised with cadent on the email address (wecare..). I never got far with them. Same story again. The guy who answered the phone, Adrian lied several times about a manager calling me back but no one ever calls. Very poor level of service. Staff with no credibility. I know they'll put a comment saying 'sorry to hear that, contact us on.. So we can put it right. But they won't. This is just for the PR. A business like this does not deserve to be serving such a great nation as ours. We need a change.

I am so annoyed at the way CADENT have left the the avenue there just mess no matter which way you look?The Gas Pipe connecting to my Gas Meter is bent the top of the fitting is damaged ? I asked the installer of the pipework ,?About this pipework on Wed 18 Mar,he said he would fix it and put a support on the pipework???? still NOT FIXED The Civil workers have run out Material to complete& put the Finish on walkways & the road ,On a daily basis???. I am happy to say The pipework to the Gas meter has been rectified to a good Standard ,And work is going on ,On the Roadway & walkways .22.03.2021 PS It would have been nice to have a Name to reply to at Cadent?? Sorry to hear the Men will be made Redundant after this week

One star is one to many

One star is one to many. Gas supply cut off in sk11 area at 9am Friday morning in temperature of -1. We have now been without heating or hot water for over 25 hours now and situation still not solved and no idea when it will be solved. Offer of small electric heating that would struggle to keep a dog kennel warm at great expense. Temperature overnight down to -6 to -7. All in a lockdown situation where elderly residents and residents with young children cannot go anywhere. Workmen walking into the house with boots covered in clay & mud leaving a trail of muck! This company does not engage their brains or have any consideration for the residents. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Tonight the Gas was cut in WA14 area.

Tonight the Gas was cut in WA14 area. I called to my supplier, less than half an hour the Cadent gas engineers (Simon and his colleague) came and fixed my problem, their customer service was really fabulous 👌.

In November our street was under going…

In November our street was under going work which took a few weeks all the guys were really friendly offered out heaters if needed took their shoes off when entering the house took time out for a few minute to do a little boxing with my son who was training. To top it off all the staff dressed up as father christmas, snowmen etc did their van up like a sleigh and offered out chocolate to the children of the street it was brilliant to see everybody smiling and dancing! Well done lads definitely deserve a little pay rise haha I also received a text message off my gas company saying I'm owed compensation which I rang to see what that was about and cadent has giving me £50 in gas. Thank you very much cadent and yo all the lads the cheered up all the children very much appreciated

Whilst waiting for gas works in estate…

Whilst waiting for gas works in estate we were visited several times to check on our medical needs and what we required whilst work carried out. We were placed onpriority list due to my medical conditions and told we would be supplied with heaters and hotplate.Day of work arrived not a peice of equipment supplied.Cadent informed and confirmed we were on priority list and should have been one of first reconnected.Had to ask wifes sister to bring us fish and chips.Disconnected from 8.45 till17.45.CADENT cant be trusted customer services just got one word in libary SORRY.

Cowboys and Liars - be careful!

If I could this would be NO STARS! My mum was feeling dizzy and sick on Saturday 6th Feb. I mentioned to my boyfriend- He panicked and called the gas company to check if the house was okay and no carbon-monoxide gas leaks etc. Please note 2 other people live in property and are in good health. The property showed no signs of carbonmonoxide leaks and flames on cooker were all burning bright blue etc as advised on Cadent website. As soon as he arrived he said that he would be inserting a disc, turning the gas supply off and that was BEFORE he even did any safety and appliance checks. It was only when I said you haven’t checked anything that he then started waving the machine around reporting false numbers. He claimed the cooker was reading critically high levels but worryingly did not condemn it and deem dangerous to use with any stickers etc Surely this is standard safety practise if this was true?! He did not show me any of this data despite my request. His main focus was cutting off the supply...nothing else. During the ‘tests’ I asked engineer why the machine made no sound and he said he leant on it with his knee and accidentally muted it!!!!Based on this I knew something was very wrong and asked for a retest. He refused to redo the checks even after numerous requests by me.Engineer called his boss and he admitted on the phone that the machine engineer uses is for HIS own safety waking around and is not designed to test appliances and the only reason for the gas cut off was based on a phone call that was not even made by me.They both ignored the fact that two others also live at the property and are absolutely fine. I offered to share my parents medical notes but that was also ignored. The boss has said they attended for SUSPECTED carbon monoxide leak but Engineer did not find any carbon monoxide readings that he logged or shared with us or retested at our request. It was a phony visit resulting in our supply being disconnected. I appreciate genuine people are out there doing their job keeping people safe but what Cadent are doing is a diabolical abuse of power and giving good engineers a bad name.We are now without hot water, heating and gas during lockdown in winter!

How this company is able to get away…

How this company is able to get away with treating consumers the way they do is astounding. If you are a home owner and you are forced into dealing with Cadent gas then I strongly urge you to reconsider.Where do I start? All I wanted was to move an inconvenient gas metre from inside a kitchen cupboard. Back and forth I went to Cadent gas who were demanding numerous plans, maps and drawings from me of my property, despite that the fact that ultimately I would be paying them to carry out this work. I kept getting asked, where do I want the metre moved to? I don't know, I'm not a gas expert, that's what I'm paying you for. Anyway they will lose your emails and claim they never received them, back and forth you will go, wasting hours of your time. Cadent are very sneaky at how they make money from home owners as they will never commit to costs. If they did, then they wouldn't be making £440 per surveyor call out, as most customers, apart from wealthy ones, would immediately give up on moving their gas metre. The surveyor was actually polite and tried to be as helpful as possible. A week later I got a quote and this is where I ask any reasonable person to sit down before reading on.The estimated cost for option one is between £7000 - £8000. And thats to keep the gas metre in the same room.The estimated cost for option two was between £3000 - £4000 but I'm told that even this is an estimate as further investigation needs to be carried out.And do not forget, this does not include me paying a gas safe engineer £££ to feed new pipe work from the moved metre to my boiler and even more £££ to pay my energy company to move the metre. Yes Cadent don't do this.Why am I so angry? Because Cadent knew when I started this process that the cost was going to be in the thousands. They knew where I lived, what floor I was on and the layout of my property. If they had told me a rough guide to costs right from the start then I would have automatically not gone through with the survey and hours of filing in forms. I would not have wasted my time. But Cadent clearly need to make as much money as possible so they refuse to tell customers about costs, now I am faced with a £440 survey bill just so they can tell me that moving my gas metre will cost me anything between £3000 - £8000. This company should be investigated by regulators. It is appalling

Amazing

Quick and amazing service from the cadent team this morning .I rang after smelling gas, the guy on the phone took my details and told me that someone would be hear in the next hour, he then went through some steps with me to make sure my home was safe until the engineer arrived.The engineer (Ste Hagan) arrived within 25 minutes. I told him I thought i had screwed through a gas pipe which i had. He made sure the gas supply was switched off and he replaced the pipe and then made sure the gas supply was safe again . Amazing service. 10/10
