This company is a complete SCAM

I am publicly warning people to stay away from this company. They will continue to renew your subscription at $165/year and make it difficult to cancel and impossible to receive a refund. They also DO NOT send renewal notices so be careful. Carly's subscription service is very predatory in their policies. A company worth anything would refund you if you forget about the auto renewal

Do NOT buy this! They bury the fact that it's an auto renewal for a yearly subscription (nearly 100 USD) and when it renews, they refuse to cancel. They don't even have a link on their website to customer service. You have to do a google search and open a ticket to cancel.Really, REALLY shady. Find a different OBD reader/ coder

Carly just throws up codes that aren't real. Every time it is plug in another list of false codes it's absolutely garbage the smart mechanic is Google it's so slow and a waste of money avoid at all cost.DO NOT BUY

The product is awful. Very slow to loads and won’t clear anything. The app crashes and starts again complete waste of time

I was really disappointed with the Carly OBD scanner. The app is slow, laggy, and feels unfinished. It drains your phone battery quickly and frequently feels unstable - Avoid, main F%^%^ complaint is that all purchases of this device is a yearly subscription Plan ( Little warning / information on any of their websites nor to the Checkout page point to this fact, so every year Carly takes another £100+ out of your bank, extremely hard to maintain profile, nor any option to turn off Auto-Renew. Disgusting money grab practice, likely to be illegal.Again Avoid like the Plague.Overall, it’s overpriced for what it offers. There are much better OBD scanners available that are one-time purchases and don’t charge per car brand or lock basic features behind paywalls

Carly OBD - avoid it

Following all the hype, I was interested to try one out and did not do my research before buying - a bad mistake. From initial plug in, it turned out to be unbelievably slow. It needed to update itself and do other admin trivia before it was ready to start, but then it took over 5 min with no indications of anything happening. After a total of 10 min, it showed signs of life and had detected the car and scanned the systems. But the App and device provide only very basic information. Free OBD apps that connect to cheap OBD plugins from China (TEMU for less than 5 Euro) are so much better. No, do not waste money on one of these - I have no idea why YouTubers continue to promote this. Additionally, Carly only sells a subscription, and that is really difficult to cancel so beware.

I have a 2006 BMW 6 seriesI bought Carla in 2022 and found it did very little for a car my age so I cancelled my subscription in 2023.....what they don't tell you is they automatically take your yearly subscription from you every year unless you tick the very hard to find automatic subscription box.....took £58 off me yesterday and totally refused to refund it......impossible to talk to a person unless its through email which they only answer once.....utterly disgusting behaviour and very unprofessional

Device doesn't work and is a scam

Device doesn't work good, still need professional device. Annual subscription is badly explained or not, year after purchase 114euro is taken without notice or notification. So you can't cancel it, this is purely a scam to take your money
