I was really disappointed with the Carly OBD scanner. The app is slow, laggy, and feels unfinished. It drains your phone battery quickly and frequently feels unstable. It also won’t work unless you give it location access, which seems unnecessary just to read basic car data.Almost every useful feature is locked behind a subscription — and the prices are high considering what you actually get. On top of that, canceling the subscription is a hassle. If you bought it through Carly’s website you can’t cancel in the app or through the store, you have to email support and wait for them to process it.Overall, it’s overpriced for what it offers. There are much better OBD scanners available that are one-time purchases and don’t charge per car brand or lock basic features behind paywalls. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This company actively steal from you. Auto renewal of subscription, £130 was taken from my account with out permission. I got in contact with them only to be told they do not do refunds. Do not buy from This greedy, unhelpful company.

Total SCAM Warning !!

Avoid Carly at all costs!! They lure you in with a “Premium Package” and a so called free scanner, but it’s a trap and you’re locked into a hidden annual subscription that renews at full price (the fact that it’s a subscription and the renewal price is never disclosed anywhere). Even support won’t tell you what you’ll actually pay after year one. The “free scanner” trick also means you lose your right to return it (deliberately dodging UK cooling off period consumer rights). Classic bait and switch. Don’t fall for it! They shouldn’t be doing business in the UK. There are more transparent and honest alternatives like Carista.
