Review Time
last year I rated this company now when I find out the 2 Samsung Galaxy A70 phones DO NOT have UK/EU warranties I've had to reconsider. My advice do not buy anything of value as in my case what was sold as full 2 year warranty was total BS. Also they are not responding to any calls, I also notice the original Trustpiolot review site for them is now closed to reviews.I even spoke to Samsung with regards to replacement screen, this is a now go, so now my phone is broken and irreparableDO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE.
I wish I could give no stars. Ordered a phone on 14/4 for my sons birthday, new, just not boxed. A phone arrived on 24/4, later than expected, but with C-19 I could understand. However, phone didn’t work, turned itself off - couldn’t be used off a power cable. Wrote to their customer services to arrange a return - they asked me all the information I had given in my email, but they authorised a return. Sent the phone back recorded - so glad I did that to prove they had it! They said I would receive a replacement within 24-48 hours. 16th May - no phone still - they are no longer replying to emails. I wrote a review on their website/product page on 13/5, that they have removed - so have written another today. All I wanted is a phone that worked as advertised for my son’s birthday - how hard can it be? Do not buy from them. They misrepresent their service on their website, by deleting any bad reviews - or so it seems to me.
Website says "Brand new. All products are 100% brand new ". Lower down on item page, it says "PRODUCTS ARE LIKE BRAND NEW RETAIL READY" and "CONDITION HAS NO COSMETIC DEFECTS, BLEMISHES, DENTS, SCRATCHES OR SIGNS OF AGE". The iPhone XS arrived with a significant dent. In communication with them, they never addressed the fact that the iPhone was not new. Multiple emails were sent before a response was had. Company address in USA. They say return address in England is to a third party that deal with returns only. It would seem to me that this arrangement would try to discourage reports to Trading Standards. The review I wrote for the product in response to the request for a review, has not been published on their website. I was grateful I had paid by PayPal and was able to raise a dispute, which Paypal paid out on.
Do not buy from this company! I ordered a watch for my sisters birthday on 23/4/20 and it has not arrived! I can’t get in touch with them as there is no phone and they are not responding to my emails. I cannot track the order because when I put the order number into their tracking option on their website it says incorrect tracking number! Am really disappointed with this experience DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!! Beware!!
This company cheated. They sold me a phone in Dec 2019 'New' opened box saying that the phone was purchased as new by someone, opened but returned 'new'. When I started having failures on the phone I contact Apple to get manufacturer warranty repair and Apple formally confirmed to me that phone was first purchased by someone in Aug 2018, activated and used (I have formal Apple e-mail)! So SMARTXDIRECT miss sold me a phone as new. After 4 months of using a phone, it shows battery service required, lens is loosing focus (dirt inside) + other things. They havan't responsed to any of my emails or chat question or phones! Now I'm left with a phone which is old (not new as I purchased( and they don't respond to any contact! Don't buy from them!
