Review Time
My window purchase was extremely important to me as i purchased them as a gift from my mom who had just passed away a few weeks before i bought them. She had left me the amount i needed to buy them. I was vulnerable to smooth talkers and i fell for the sales crap from my salesman(who as a person was nice). I told him all this and how i had to have a quality product to make the purchse worth it. I thought i got a price close to were i wanted to be but not quite. He showed me the product i was supposed to get and the quality of it or so i thought. It was the reason i bought them. I loved the way the sample looked and was so excited. My product came in about a week after i orderd them and i was curious as to how since they were supposed to be made to order. The day they came out to install them it was pouring rain and a real bad day. My windows were on back of a trailer of one of the workman. They were soaked and the worker unwrapped each one and placed by each window they were replacing on ground. I was angry as they were not covered by tarp and kept dry as they put them in. The job should have been called off for that day as it was not a good day to install soaked windows. As they rushed to tear out my old windows the job they did was horrid. Big chunks of wood from the frame were hacked out. They shoved the new windows in so hard that they knocked my interior molding out of the wall inside. I had asbestos in sills of old windows so i was told special care would be taken and it was not. they just layed a small piece of plastic on my floor inside and there was wood pieces and paint dust all over my rug inside along with mud and wetness from their shoes as they came in and out of the house which i had to clean up and champion has never offered to reimburse me for. I ended up vaccuming the asbstos dust and wood chips up as they left it there while they went to lunch. I m so very dissatisfied with my windows as i was promised they would cut noise from a very busy front road and they do not at all. It sounds just like the old ones were in. I had tried to contact anyone at champion for days after they left and could never reach a soul. I must have made about 30 calls or more before i called the only person i could and thats my saleman nick. He finally got someone to call me(MJ). I told her of my issues and wanted someone to call me about fixing everything. I also stated i DID NOT want the same crew out here that came to install. They sent them out after requesting not to. There were things done that i will never be ok with. It was a half a-- job and not worth what i am stuck paying for. I have been trying to contact the CEO with no luck. I feel he needs to contact me regarding a very shoddy job done by a company that rates itself so high. Do not choose this company if you want work done right.
I gave the job four stars only because of the price. I'm very happy with the product, the salesman, the lead check person and the installer. I'm certain there's other companies yet higher, some I saw lower as well. The insulated vinyl will keep me warm and the 365 glass lowers the btu heat in summer, keeping me cooler. Champion puts out an excellent fitting window with knowledgeable staff and informative engineering manufacturing.
My windows look great. My house is no longer drafty. I can tell a difference is the noise reduction which I never noticed until my new windows arrived. I love them. The installation process went so smoothly.I have already recommended Champion to my friends
