Vicki was amazing! She answered all my questions. I always have questions & she explained what I wanted was not available due to new window designs. Vicki explained all the differences and I was able to visualize what the new window would look like. Vicki was VERY patient with me even though my questions made for a longer appointment. You are so lucky to have her as a sales representative. I don't often write reviews of contractors before the job is completed, but I had such a good experience with salesperson Brandon P. of Champion Windows, that I felt inclined to write this preliminary review and will follow up with a second one when the job is complete. We are replacing 7 windows in our 20 yr. old home and have some unique requirements for these windows. Although this involved a "new request" that Brandon had not seen before, he immediately went into gear to research a solution for us, and found one, answering every concern we had. This was the fourth major window company we interviewed and I am very experienced hiring contractors for remodeling/ construction. I immediately pegged Brandon as extremely honest, forthright if he didn't know the answer to a question with no BS, very knowledgeable about the products, the warranty offered, the financing, etc. When we had a computer glitch "unlocking our credit report" to accomplish financing, he was patient and we never felt rushed or pressured in any way. I believe Champion windows are clearly the best value for the investment, for our needs, compared to the other four companies. I look forward to a successful, timely scheduled, project. I will update this review when the job is complete.
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Champion Windows, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. I overpaid Champion Windows for replacing 95% of the windows in my home, including a huge bay window. From start to finish, the entire process was a nightmare.First, I met with the sales agent and the measurer to confirm the windows that needed replacing and their sizes. However, the measurer lost the information or was simply disorganized, forcing me to schedule a second appointment. This unnecessary delay was highly inconvenient, especially since I needed the windows replaced ASAP to sell my home. When the second measurer came weeks later, I called for an update only to find out the measurements were never submitted. This necessitated a third appointment, causing further delays.Six weeks after I initially paid for the windows, the order was finally submitted. Manufacturing the windows took three weeks longer than promised. Although their contract allowed for timeline changes, the lack of communication and disregard for my concerns was unacceptable. When I expressed my frustration, Tony Baca, the manager, dismissively told me they were not at fault.The situation worsened when the windows finally arrived—eight weeks behind schedule—and the crew shattered four windows that were not supposed to be replaced. They didn't bother to read the order notes and broke every window. When I contacted Tony Baca, he said they would reorder and replace the four windows at no cost. However, when the replacement windows arrived two weeks later, they were installed in the wrong locations!To make matters worse, once the windows were finally installed, they left open seals, damaged drywall, and crooked installations. The lack of attention to detail and overall quality was appalling. I shared my feedback and frustration with Tony Baca, detailing the monetary loss and lack of organization. I requested to speak with his manager, Greg Basham, hoping they would uphold their customer service guarantees. Instead, Tony was incredibly rude and unprofessional, stating they would do nothing to rectify their mistakes. He also refused to let me speak with Greg Basham, claiming Greg had already made up his mind.To all property owners looking for new windows, I strongly advise steering clear of Champion Windows. They will overcharge you and significantly underdeliver in both quality and customer service. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
The Champion Windows turned out great! Tony, the Champion Window installer really paid attention to the details and did nice work. I am impressed with the look, functionality, and the energy efficiency of the Champion triple pane window. The casement of the window had that nicer molding finish instead of just being flat with no dimension like some of the other manufacturers.
