I had a terrible experience as a first-time buyer when I was assigned a broker to assist me in purchasing my first property. The broker, Iftikar, was not helpful at all. He failed to review the details I provided until the very last moment, which ultimately forced me to withdraw from the purchase. He incorrectly filled out my information after I had placed a deposit on a new build, informed me that I couldn't secure the mortgage he had arranged for me. Additionally, I was charged £495 by John Charcoal for the mortgage application, but my advisor never submitted it. When I requested a refund, my mortgage broker claimed there was no payment record. However, I have a receipt showing a payment of £459 made on April 8th, and I am still awaiting a response or refund.
