I had used John Charcol for taking out my initial mortgage and they were my first port of call for remortgaging. Use another broker. John Charcol were dodgy in my experience.Doped me as a customer for no reason just as my offer was accepted. Withdrew mortgage offer which also affected my credit score. NO REASONS GIVEN.The recommended a conveyancer with was later suspended by SRA. So also got screwed with that. Nice one JC. Cheers for the stress, damage to credit score and now out of pocket as I had to get another solicitor to sort out the issues.XYZ Law also tried to charge me for services already paid for.The "Partner" at JC was a decent bloke, but they gave no shits about the customer. Just another number. Don't give your business to these kind of companies. I ended up with an independent broker which I found to be my saviour.
