Hours later, the flight was canceled without my consent, and no ticket was issued. Their customer service was evasive, outsourced, and unhelpful. I was lied to multiple times and never received a refund. This company enables scammy third-party providers and should be investigated by consumer protection agencies. Avoid at all costs — book directly with airlines!
My husband and I booked a round trip flight in August for our trip in October. We were charged $850. When we called American Airlines a week before our trip we were informed that CheapFlights canceled our flight. They never informed us! After MULTIPLE calls we someone finally answered and said there was a mistake and sent a link to a company called Affirm to verify our identifies with pictures of our drivers licenses and a selfie of our faces. Then they charged us an additional $170 which they said would be refunded after our flight. They said we'd receive a new confirmation in 24 hours which we never did. So we canceled the flight with them demanded a refund and booked a flight through the airlines. A few days later we received an email stating we were being charged $692 for a loan through Affirm that we never took out! CheapFlights has not refunded our money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
They just got me😡 Two days before our flight leaves and we are out the 770.00 and must drive 9 hours to catch our cruise ship. They have hung up on me four times after I’ve called 100+ times just to listen to music and then sent to a voicemail link. They promise my refund is coming but after reading all these comments I know I have been scammed. Never again
I wish I could give 0 stars- a total scam. We never received e-tickets and were getting concerned because the confirmation number we received was not valid through the airline company.We reserved tickets almost 2 months in advance- now have to pay 4 times the amount.
If I could give it negative stars I would. We bought and were charged $768 for tx to Boston. On a routine follow-up as we are nearing our trip date, we learned that the airline cancelled our seats...because Cheapflights did not pay the airline. Dozens of calls to Cheapflights yielded recorded messages about "technical difficulties" so we had no choice but to buy a new set of tickets that cost us $1900 in addition to the $768 that we were f***ed out of by these SOB's.I think you get the picture, right? DO NOT DO BIZ W/THESE bastards!RUN, FORREST, RUN!!!!!!!!
Scam!! Scam!!! Sacm!!! 🚩🚩🚩run away from Cheapflights as far as you can!!! NEVER EVER book anything from them!!! They charge your card, take your money and send fake reservations which are empty!! Thank God I called the airline to confirm my flight( which was not confirmed, ofc). Otherwise I would go to airport with my elderly parents and three kids and be turned away right at the gate….. it is soooo low and disgraceful…. Cheapflights- liars and cheaters…..
They take your money then cancel on you a day before the flight!! They blamed the airline and it wasn’t them!! Horrible experience. The price was then doubled and they do not care!! I would have given them negative stars if possible!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM
Ordered 2 round-trip tickets. Money removed from my account. A few days later received an email stating Cheapflights canceled our tickets "because the airline raised the price". "You should receive a refund in 3-5 d". Over 1 month later no refund. Unable to reach the company. Filed a complaint with the BBB. They couldn't reach the co either. I'm out the money. Scam.
