Avoid...

Made usual payment on 28th Aug, asked for a, settlement figure on 29th Aug. Was advised the figure would not reflect the previous days payment. Took quote anyway as I needed a ball park. Called on 2nd Sept for an updated figure and told they can only quote once every 28 days. My new financier settled at the figure from 29th Aug knowing that it didn't reflect the extra payment believing I would get that back. Close Brothers, are refusing to return the payment from 28th. Seems to be a common complaint. Have referred to the ombudsman

Not giving me a refund

I paid off my car early, then they took another monthly instalment. I have reach out twice for a refund via their online form over this week but they haven’t got back to me yet. If I owed them money though they’d get on it straight away!

Close brothers really helped me out during a nightmare situation involving the purchase of a van with a long list of issues and a non-compliant dealer… during the whole saga, Pedro from Close brothers MQ complaints team was super helpful and made a horrendous situation bearable as he patiently helped me out through everything, every step of the way.
