I brought a van financed through Close Brothers. During the warranty period a major existing defect was discovered by admission of the dealer, but alas who refused to cover the cost of repair and then attempted to divert their liability. To cut a long story short, a claim was raised. Close Brother became involved (being the legal owners) and their service has been faultless, notably their legal department. They are professional, friendly and fair, handling my dispute better than I ever expected. They managed to arrive at a satisfactory outcome for all parties involved, through effective communication and the safe hands of dealing with a real representative you can talk to at the end of the phone. If you should ever need to finance a vehicle, I would highly recommend Close Brothers. Not only the best rates and customer service, but a sense that you have some piece of mind and fairness of case handling should things go wrong,
A SET OF IMBECILES. INSURD / CLOSE BROTHERSINSURD - Employ absolute idiots.My 81 year old Father wanted to renew his policy for his vehicle. Needed to supply his phone number which because of hisage and scams he did not want to do but was pressurised to so. Dad was sent a link for monthly payments credit confirmation by Close Brothers. He was sent a code, accessed his docs with difficulty as he can barely use a PC, signed docs, received confirmation THEN was told the policy was cancelled by Insurd as the 24 hour window exprired!Dad is 81 years old. He DOES NOT have a PC! He has to make a 10 mile round trip to the nearest library to use one! Less than 24 hours and this idiotic outfit has cancelled my elderly fathers' policy.This outfit is not for for purpose. If you value your sanity GO ELSEWHERE!Katie - I cannot phone as you will no doubt be unable to discuss my father's policy with me?
I have recently passed my driving test and as expected I went straight to change my insurance as I was eager to start driving. However, the process to change my insurance was extremely long and insufferable. The time they expect you to wait in queue on the phone is ridiculous I was transferred to many different lines and regardless of this draining process and 2 hours 30 minutes of waiting and trying I was still unable to actually get through to someone useful and insure my car. This means despite the fact that I passed nearly 3 hours ago I am still uninsured and unable to go out.
This is my third car finance agreement with Close Brothers and I am very impressed with the service.I recently collected a second hand car, which required the finance documentation to be completed on the same day. The whole process was simple and efficient and I would have no hesitation in recommending Close Brothers.
