With all of the stupid security…

With all of the stupid security questions and the length of time to speak to an operative....I spent 4hrs.in Epsom TrustFord to get an OK. and continued at home the following day then back at TrustFord. You must change your system. In my many motoring years I have never experienced such a ridiculous security check.o

I had to speak to Close Brothers customer services today, what a breath of fresh air, i spoke to a lady called Dawn, absolutely couldnt of been more helpful, so nice to talk to such a pleasant human being, a real assett to the company and other finance companies ( i talk to several each week ) should learn from Close and their selection of staff. Dawn has brightened my day !!

I purchased my car using Close brother's and the car I traded in was also with Close. I was happy with the settlement figure, but due to the car dealer being dodgy and not paying the settlement, things went pear shaped for a while. But Close stepped up to the bar and chased the money (£4000) after I provided the evidence of what we had paid the dealer. I'd like to mention Gary, the claims handler who was absolutely brilliant and sorting it all out for me, he is employee of the year in my estimation

I bought a car with help from Close Brothers, via Car money. I had a good credit rating, but nevertheless, I was grateful for their help. During the repayment term, I didn't trouble them, nor them me. I paid every instalment on time, by direct debit, never missing a payment. Due to a change of personal circumstances, and needing a van, I sold my car mid term. I thought that the settlement figure was greater than anticipated, but settled regardless. If ever I finance a vehicle again, I'd pay more attention to early settlement.

CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS

Called up numerous times. Seems to always be the same girl that answers. Well she is very rude, she asks all these questions to verify (even though I have already verified prior) then once verification is complete she hangs up. This has happened to me twice now, I am trying to discuss an arrears payment and make the payment. Once this contract is finished I most certainly won’t be using Close brothers again, customer service is absolutely stinking. Stay away

Left feeling like I have no idea what is happening!

Posted the same review on the Be Wiser page, but your company is embroiled in this debacle, so please see below. I upgraded my car a couple of week ago. Prior to upgrading my car, I contacted Bewiser to tell them the new details for my car. I was told that I would have to pay an additional £400 (approx) for the remainder of the year. I said that this was too much, considering my insurance total for my previous car was just over £190 for the year. The lady I spoke to said she would generate a new quote which came to just over £1400 for the year. I respectfully declined and paid whatever fee was outstanding. I then secured car insurance with another company which was around the £350 mark for the entire year. As I had paid the outstanding fee, I cancelled my direct debit. I was not told to leave the direct debit in situ as I was left to believe that I had paid the cancellation fee and existing amount. I thought it was all sorted, however...I then received an email and a letter from close brothers saying that my account is in arrears by £41.11. This included a late payment fee of £25. I have already paid this fee (as the direct debit hadn't been collected as it was "in cycle". I phoned close brothers on the 9th of September who told me to ignore the letter as this was sent before I had paid. Apparently, the direct debit was already 'in cycle' but this was never conveyed to me when I paid the amount due and cancellation fee. At that point I thought it had all been sorted, however...Today, I received a letter from Bewiser saying "sorry, we will miss you." and said that I have to pay a cancellation fee. The outstanding balance is now £271.75 which includes a £55 fee to cancel my policy. It then went to say that I have made a payment on cancellation of just over £60, and it said "we have refunded (a few spaces with no words in) "for your" (space) finished with a full stop. This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. So in summary, I changed my car, got a new quote, it was too much, so I cancelled. Bewiser and Close brothers are both after fees from me, which they are not due, with the most recent cancellation fee being nearly £100 more than my annual cost for car insurance.I've been passed from pillar to post on the phone. I understand that one of you are the insurance company, the other the finance company. However, there appears to be little to no communication between yourselves. I would like it in writing that I have nothing to pay. I am a genuine customer, and feel that a member of your team has made a major error along the way. Either that or your systems need updating. I'm not after any recompense. An apology, and admission that you have got this wrong would be pleasing, but confirmation in writing that I have nothing left to pay is a must. I look forward to hearing from you.

Close brothers are threatening to…

Close brothers are threatening to reposses my motorcycle after i unknowingly bought it with outstanding finance . I have filled in all the forms they sent to me to prove i am the 'innocent party' including documents from the previous owner showing my £7k went into his account , just like they wanted. Now they have changed their minds and have said ' this does not show disposition with our agreement holder'. Due to this the vehicle will need to be made available for collection. I even told them i had recently had cancer and a heart attack and had treated myself to this bike they still want to send the Bailiffs round. They are not human.
