Very reliable insurer and good process. I know there are a lot of complaints here for post office and easy jet policies underwritten by collinson- and to that I say: buy a more expensive policy! Collinson will offer worse terms for cheaper packages. I paid £110 for 2 for a 1 week trip that cost over 2k & Declared all my pre-existing medical etc. and when something did go wrong - I got it all back - because my policy wording is better. Don’t blame the underwriter, blame the policy you pick!
Agent got lots of our claims mixed up and we’re not very helpful at all, we had one agent that we delt with and she was very good, so one of our claims went through. Agents telling us to do one thing and another telling us we can’t. We are both in our seventies so very stressful, I have a Brocken leg so no grey area. I have managed to receive my insurance but my partner still being messed around. Update, ALL SORTED NOW. IN MY OPINION IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHICH AGENT ANSWERS THE PHONE IF YOU GET A GOOD ONE IT IS VERY SMOOTH, IF NOT IT IS REALLY REALLY STRESSFUL,
4 day trip in Venice,lost luggage,tried to make a claim for lost luggage through out Post Office travel insurance and was told I needed to prove ownership of the items via pictures of us wearing the clothes or receipts for the items in the case!!!!Who on this planet has that before they go on holiday?!And on the way back from holiday with dirty clothes?!?!Said unless I have proof of ownership of all items in the suitcase then our claim would not be considered!!!Absolutely ridiculous and nobody can believe this!Just a big scam,nobody getting claims paid out!!Deceiving customers beware!!Look at your policy very carefully!!!
When phoning to register my claim, I was asked to email documents and was supplied with email address. 4 days later I was advised emails were not accepted and only PDFs. I posted all documents instead. They received them on a Friday and my claimWas settled 2 days later which was excellent.
We had to fly home after 4 days into our holiday due to a death in our family.So impressed with this company and will definitely look to book our travel insurance with them again.Helpful compassionate and fulfilled their payout in a reasonable time frame.
From start to finish my claim was dealt with efficiently, speedily and with care. I was treated with respect and empathy throughout by the reviewers dealing with my claim, which I very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be using them again. Thank you 🙂
