**It was definitely a scam.** I purchased 2 tickets for MilanPasses online and received an email instructing me to collect the tickets from a kiosk near Milano Centrale. After entering my details into the machine, it only displayed a message saying the tickets were not available. At that moment, I met 3 other tourists there who had the same experience. I tried to email them but had never received any response. I made a complaint to the bank and finally got my money back.
MilanoCard aka ItalyPass is pure scam. You will only receive a 1-day ticket code sent by email to be used at a transport ATM machine which print a 24 hour ticket for you. The rest of the money is lost. We bought two 4-day Milan public transport tickets for €60 and could only use the one day tickets. There is NO contact at their website and the printer inside the kiosk where you should collect the remaining cards makes a printing sound but there are NEVER cards available as shown on the display after a while. I was not the only one at the kiosk trying to collect the cards.
As others have said this appears to be a total scam. Avoid like the plague. Much cheaper to buy a metro travel pass and online tickets for the other 'offers' We bought, eventually found the kiosk and the physical card could not be obtained. There is no way to contact the company to either get your money back or complain. I bought this on my credit ard so I have lodged an appeal
I bought online a pass to the terraces of the Duomo. Never got the QR code. I tried to get it through the app. I put the information requested, booking ID and email address. The answer was: wrong data, over and over.Yes, this is pathetic, but even more pathetic is the fact that this site continues to operate and steal money from people without the competent authorities do something to stop them.
SCAM! Do not buy! Total waste of money. We bought two Milano cards with transport for two days and two tickets to the Duomo. On arrival we realized we had to retrieve the cards at a kiosk before taking the public transport to our lodging. After doing this we took the public transport no problem there but then! The next day we try to visit the duomo with our tickets and there is a message on the app that says “only download the tickets on the day you want to use them”. On the 6th of august my boyfriend received the tickets by mail and downloaded them and when we tried to go on the 7th impossible to use them. Even after we paid for them! No way to call or contact Milano Card (of course!) so we had to pay for new duomo tickets and then we found out that 2 days of metro tickets literally costs 8€ each so we threw 78€ away.. terrible terrible service and if you are reading this Milano card we want a refund! Stay away from this useless scam. The lovely Italian lady working at the duomo told us she sees this all the time and it’s a total scam.
Do not buy this pass, it is a total scam. It does not tell you that it is not a digital card and the physical card has to be picked up from a booth at the central train station. We did not have the ability to do this so tried to cancel it, but we have never received any kind of reply from the company. We read the reviews later and realised that we should never have bought this card as it is a total rip off.
