I wanted to try Cozy Earth sleepwear for a long time and decided to finally take the plunge. I wish I hadn’t. I had read about issues customers had — with orders, returns, getting refunded, and quality — on Trust Pilot as well as Reddit. I put one nightshirt in my cart. It had free shipping (over a certain amount) but then prompted me to purchase “shipping protection” for my order at an additional cost $4.38. I find it really odd that a company basically is telling you they will offer ZERO help with a lost package or replacement unless you AS THE CUSTOMER foot the bill for this “protection”. This is part of doing business. I find it really unfair of this company that, according to online records, has revenue of around 15 million a year. I can see why since they gouge their customers for fees that shouldn’t be footed by customers. I added this “protection” because of the nightmares I had read about online of customers not being helped with issues with orders. I did not notice however that when I added a second nightshirt to my order they automatically changed the “shipping protection” fee from 4.38 to 8.14 even though they shipped in one plastic shipping bag. Ugh…. Next, I needed to return these nightshirts. I was told there would be a “one time” fee of 11.99. But the total amount deducted from my refund was not the “shipping protection” at 8.14 plus the “one time” fee of 11.99. They deducted $26.15. Yes, 26.15. I was charged an additional 6.02. When I tried to contact customer service what they said in response didn’t explain what all these fees are. It’s not worth arguing with people who won’t even take out a calculator and actually add things up. This $26.15 is far too much for trying on two nightshirts.This company is a mess. I didn’t like the product, but I know a lot of people do. My suggestion to anyone interested in purchasing Cozy Earth is to find a department store that stocks their products and buy through them. I, personally, would have no desire to ever deal with this company again.Edit: responding to CE, there will not be future experiences. There is no explanation whatsoever for the additional fees. Just to say “sorry we disappointed you”, and not even address the addition $6 is disingenuous. The responses to me directly from CE through email (prior to writing this review) were also disingenuous. They threw out vague explanations like “taxes on shipping”. Well…that’s some “tax”. There is not one state that charges that in sales tax. Making it clear to CE this was NOT “just” the doubled “shipping protection” fee OR the 11.99 return fee. Nobody from this company can be bothered addressing anything
I didn’t want to write a review until I heard from the company. However, I’ve reached out twice now to get their attention to the fact of a king size sheet set I bought. I bought around $1,000 worth of items based off what some friends experienced and am very disappointed for it to be over a week since the 1st time I connected to the company via email with pictures of holes, so many after the second wash of the sheet set. I then was contacted via text to buy more and explained my issue to the person who texted me and why I wouldn’t buy anything as I was waiting her back from the company on what they’ll do. The person explained they connected with that division of the company and they’ll be reached out to fix the issue. It’s now been too many days since that text communication and crickets. I don’t have time or energy to keep trying to reach out for a sheet set that once washed twice, maybe three times at most washed…. received not one, not two, not three, not four, but so many holes I’m floored at the quality being so cheap. I’ve so far after almost a month had no issues with the other items, but wonder how long they’ll last? I’ll write another review if this gets resolved, but it shouldn’t take an customer more than once connecting to a company with an issue and waiting for more than at least a week maybe two since I initially made them aware there was an issue.Okay, I wanted to edit my review because I definitely was heard immediately and appreciate it. I haven’t put the new bedsheet on yet. However, I’m quite appreciative that I received the new bed sheet pretty quickly. I actually may have messed-up when I was asking for help as well originally. I’ll continue to edit this post after I put on the new fitted king white bed sheet today. I received the replacement one within a week. I’m just changing bedding today. To be continued and increasing their stars to three now from one.
I recently made my FOURTH jogger set purchase. I love that I can wear the set out and also to lounge around. They wash well and look new with no fading or pilling. Our family of four travels 3-4 times per year and we are in airports, exploring cities and historical sites, hiking in parks and I can wear the jogger set for all of these activities. I love this set!!!
I’ve been a very loyal customer since I found cozy earth. The bamboo is the bread and butter and is absolutely over the top on the luxury scale on quality. The silk pillow and comforter are the same. The other products they keep trying to branch out to..have been subpar. The bamboo clothing items have been great until the standards were lowered to other retailer quality except the price point didn’t lower with it. Stick with the luxury goods or lower the prices and target quince customers
