Generally positive experience, with some delays

I had a generally positive experience. My child really enjoys the bed, though the delivery was slightly delayed compared to the original date, which I had mentally prepared for (hence, half a star deduction). It also took some time for the VOC to settle, and it had a similar smell to other brands, which lowered my expectations (another half star off for that). I believe this company offers the best design and customization options, making it worth considering if it fits your needs. Additional details:
I placed my order on September 18. By September 28, the status still showed "Awaiting processing"; I inquired via email, and the status changed to "In Production" the same day. The estimated dispatch was set for November 26-28, but on November 29, I was informed it had moved to "quality check," with the dispatch date pushed to early December. After another email inquiry, a representative named James indicated it should ship the following week, adjusting the estimate to November 6-10. The status changed to "Prepare to ship" on November 10. The delivery service contacted me on November 13 for the mattress and delivered it on the 14th (they were reliable). There was no communication from another service until I reached out to inquire after receiving the mattress. They initially proposed a delivery on November 18. In total, it took about two months; the bed construction took around six weeks, plus an additional two weeks for final checks and delivery arrangements. Additionally, the other service was not very reliable, as they delivered to the wrong address and signed for me. There were no missing screws or parts, assembly took about 2.5 hours for the frame and another 1.5 hours for the drawers. The company does respond to important emails, and I found out that James, who replies to emails, is the founder. Some of my inquiries for more information went unanswered, which is understandable but could be improved.

Disappointing experience with the website

I was really looking forward to exploring the service, but the website made it a frustrating ordeal. The pages loaded very slowly, and many product links were non-functional. Additionally, the site design feels cluttered, making it challenging to compare different bed options or find clear details about materials and features.

If I could give zero stars, I would

If there was an option for zero stars, I would choose it. I have never left a negative review before, but this service has been the worst I've encountered, and I want to warn others. It took twice the expected lead time to receive my order (a toddler bed and mattress). Upon arrival, there were missing parts, preventing the assembly team I hired from completing the setup. I've spent hours trying to reach them via email and phone (note that you cannot speak directly to the company; calls are handled by an offsite service that is ineffective) to resolve this issue, but they haven't responded. When they finally did, they claimed to be arranging replacement screws, but that order was mysteriously canceled. After multiple calls and emails with no replies, I've had to involve trading standards to attempt to resolve this, but they are still not contacting me to organize a refund or proper collection of the items. I couldn't give a worse review. Given the cost of these items, I expected a far better service. Avoid this company.

False dispatch information and delays

I placed my order eight weeks ago, and my dispatch date was supposed to be two and a half weeks ago. I've received no updates regarding my order status. I've attempted to reach out through customer support, but there has been no response. Such delays are unacceptable, and the lack of communication leaves a very negative impression. I will need to dispute the transaction to get my money back. Additionally, they attempted to flag my review as defamatory, which failed because my experience is genuine. This behavior reflects their attitude toward customers. I have received neither the bed nor any apologies.

My child loves the bed, although the delivery was slightly delayed compared to the original dispatch date, which I was somewhat prepared for (removing half a star for that). It took some time for the VOC to settle, and it had a similar smell to other brands, so my expectations were a bit higher (losing another half star for that). I believe the service offers the best design and customization available, making it worth trying if it fits your needs. I placed my order on 18 Sep, and by 28 Sep, the status was still 'Awaiting processing'. After inquiring, it changed to 'In Production' the same day. The estimated dispatch was 26-28 Nov, but on 29 Nov, I was told it was in 'quality check' and would be dispatched in early December. After following up, I was informed it would ship the following week, with a new estimated date of 6-10 Nov. Finally, on 10th Nov, it moved to 'Prepare to ship', and I was contacted about the mattress delivery on 13th Nov, which arrived on 14th. The other delivery service was less reliable, having delivered to the wrong address. I had no missing screws or parts, and assembly took about 2.5 hours for the frame and an additional 1.5 hours for the drawers. The service does respond to important emails, and I later realized that the representative who replied is the founder, so the lack of responses to some of my inquiries is understandable but could be improved.

Unhappy toddler

The bed was three weeks late, and I'm still without a mattress. The helpline is nearly impossible to reach. I've been waiting two weeks for any sort of reply. I would advise staying away.

Zero stars would be my choice

If I could select zero stars, I certainly would. I would like to leave a review if we ever receive the bed we ordered two months ago. I suspect this service is a sham, pretending to be a UK-based furniture maker while spending heavily on social media marketing.

Amazing bed!

We purchased a floor bed for our son, and it is absolutely fantastic! It feels very high quality and sturdy, and the instructions were easy to follow. I also appreciate that it comes with wood glue!

The bed is lovely and simple to assemble. It arrived within the eight-week timeframe promised, and my daughter is thrilled with her new bed!

Expected far better for the price. Terrible customer service.

Workmanship and craftsmanship is poor, especially for the price. Shortcuts have been taken in certain pieces. Assembly instructions have multiple errors in them, some of which are irreversible and you only realise at the end of the assembly process. Some parts broke during standard assembly. There is a strong chemical smell that took weeks to dissipate (our daughter couldn’t sleep in her room for weeks). Through all of this, I’ve not been able to get a response from Cubbly customer service. AVOID!
