We have been ordering from Deluxe yearly fir our holiday calendars for many many years ordering up to 250 or more in past years. This year we noticed that at least 25 of the prints are defective in the printing area of May, August and November blurry and leaving out dates of those months. We emailed customer service but was rejected and went to spam. Then I finally called and they we don't use a customer service email. You have to call. Then they offered me $ 54 back as a refund. But still no reprint of the calendars. So should I mail out these defective calendars with a note with an apology telling them that Deluxe.com goofed and sorry? Not sure if we will ever use them again. Also the defective cards were not in a consecutive group of 25 errors. They were placed intermittently in the 125 bunch. So was this error caught in advance and placed intermittently? So obviously loyalty and being a long time customer doesn't matter to this company.
I haven't yet received the order because your shipping department used UPS for delivery to my post office box and they returned the order to you. The shipping instructions specifically indicated shipment to a post office box. Why wasn't USPS used instead? After the shipment was returned to Deluxe no one contacted me to obtain another shipping address. I phoned to inquire about the order and updated it using the post office's street addressing option. No shipping update has been received from UPS. If one is not received in the next 72 hours, the charge will be disputed. The level of incompetence and negligence in handling a simple online order is unbelievable.
I ordered 2 different checks - same type of check, but different color / different account #s. Did from "Reorder" on the website. Both came in with the same account #. Deluxe Rep who I called confirmed my order was right, the checks were wrong. 1st time in the decades our co has been ordering these 2 different checks. 2 stars instead of 1 because the Rep was helpful and the reprint was rushed and received quickly. 2 instead of 3 because the quality of the checks themselves has deteriorated in the last year or 2. Again, customer for decades, so I know what I used to get. Now our co name is nearly (or is) trimmed off the top stub; the color part of the check itself no longer extends as far down, and for 4 line addresses in the Payee section, the 4th line is now under the color. This is new as of a few months ago. The windowed envelopes that are supposed to match these checks now cut off part or all of a 4th address line, such that the PO machines can't read and I have to cut out the window for those checks. I have to tap 3 line addresses to make sure that the city/zip line reads clearly through the window. And the paper quality of the checks is less than it used to be. Adequate (why it's last in this complaint), but less than it used to be. I would understand a raise in price and maintaining the quality Deluxe used to provide. I don't understand giving up quality the way it is clear that Deluxe has. VERY disappointing. Part of the problem with the world instead of the solution.
The kicker for me was the freight and handling cost, Way too high! Although discounts were offered and used, there were no advantage using them when the "estimated" freight & handling cost wiped them out, so why even offer a discount? Other options are looking more impressive for our next order.
