Be very careful. I was unable to get my car and lost my money. I was unable to cancel after realizing that it is impossible to rent the car because of other local laws and rules with the actual partner who would hand me the keys. So basically I was charged and according to customer service "loop" my money was not refundable.
In reality the rental is handled by a local rental company as a partner who doesn't care about your situation or transactions with DOYOUITALY.COM
I recommend going directly to the local partners and asking for help.
There are dozens of reports of people who were ripped off by DoYouItaly including what happened to friends of mine who lost a deposit, and never got a car.

This service acts as a middleman without any oversight of the actual rental companies, particularly in Rome. When issues arise, the service will not help resolve them. The support team is ineffective; emails go unanswered or receive nonsensical replies. When you try to call, you’re left on hold or the call is disconnected. They seem to want you to give up on your claims. The best way to avoid these problems is simply to NOT RENT CARS THROUGH THIS SERVICE!
This experience feels like a complete scam. I submitted a request to rent a van, and everything was confirmed by the service. However, upon my arrival to pick up the van, the rental company informed me that no van was available and that they had previously notified the service to reject the booking. They even provided proof of this communication. I had already paid in full for the booking, yet I have not received any refund from the service. When I reached out to them about the issue, they claimed there were no problems with my booking and that everything was fine! I am still waiting for a refund and have received no updates from the service. Communication with the company is virtually nonexistent.
