Booking this car hire was a pleasure as I had instant reply’s from Jay at drivalia to all my questions which were a little different to the normal queries. He was extremely helpful and would definitely use them again.

Pre-paid car not available on the day

At the time of collection, the person at the desk just said that there were no cars available despite being a car that I had booked a week in advance.They claimed that they had informed the travel agency that I used to make the booking (Expedia) a day earlier but there are no records of that. On my Expedia account, everything seemed to be fine so I believe that they did not do it. The person also claimed that they did not have my phone number to contact me directly, which I believe is not true because when I used Expedia to book a car with a different company, they did have all my details.In summary: No car was given to me, no alternative was offered and I was spoken to in a rude manner.

Friendly team

Friendly team - great price with xtra driver. We were told it would be okay to arrive earlier than the booked time but unfortunately our car wasn’t ready. Stuart did all he could do to make the booking in process as quick as possible and got us a car so we could be off by our booking slot. 5/5 for Stuart.Sadly the car had been very roughly treated by previous rentals and the wheels had been damaged by curbing etc. This actually impacted our quality of drive which we didn’t find out until we were on the motorway where it was evident the wheels needed balancing and we had a constant alert for tyre pressure. We couldn’t go over 60 miles an hour. We managed to test the tyres and found some were too low some too high. We also should have had air conditioning but this also did not work- not very pleasant on a motorway in 25oC with the windows open. Luckily most of our trip wasn’t on motoryway until our return journey to the depot. However the tyre pressure warning came on again once on the motorway back. Upon return we instructed the company of the faults and they said they would note them.I only wish they had checked these things before we took the car as we didn’t feel 100% safe in it. However on small trips it was fine and extremely economical.

Drivalia Heathrow delivered excellently as always - very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to assist the customer. Great service from Aleena and Sanj. Thank you and I shall always hire from Drivalia. Consistent excellence since I started renting in 2020.

It is the worst and most unreliable…

It is the worst and most unreliable company I have ever used! - They will cancel your booking on the day of arrival or a day ahead, DESPITE MAKING A PAYMENT - Excuse OVERBOOKING.Happened to me twice! And I book for business purposes. When I expressed my concerns to the HQ, they couldn't do much either. The wait time is always up to an hour minimum.I would strongly advise going elsewhere if you are looking for a reliable booking and good customer service.
