Awful company and attitude . Had to rent a Volkswagen Taigo and the deposit was £1500 as mentioned on vipcars.com. They wanted to charge me £1950… not to mention it’s also the double rip off when they try to sell their own insurance which way more expensive then rent btw, although I had bought mine already.
Horrendous experience at Edinburgh Airport. Car pick up is a bus away (annoying but not the end of the world). Arrive at the reception and they hand you a buzzer saying the wait was at least 1hr. We counted around 9 groups waiting to pick up cars. You are expected to just wait outside. It was lucky the weather was uncharacteristically nice for Scotland. There is no shelter available in case the weather is bad or anywhere to sit and wait. No way to contact customer service. Return cars piled all the way to the entrance. Yes they are cheap but the experience is not worth it.
Appalling service. Was so busy and they were not handling it. They didn’t have my car. I’ve asked for a refund and now they claim they denied me the car because my credit card didn’t work. As this is an outright lie, as an excuse to keep my deposit - I say: beware of this company. (Caused me great inconvenience as I had to go to another place for a hire care after 36 hours travel across the world). And they didn’t respond to me until I wrote this review. And they say to log in - which I can’t because they cancelled my booking reference !
That's my 3rd time using drivalia. I used many different car rental companies all over Europe and this one is by far one of the best! I booked and paid online and all the process in their office while picking up a car was was so fast and hassle free. Mainly thanks to Tony who patiently answered all my questions:D
I book only with Drivalia for the last few years, the experience is always hassle free and customer service is amazing. Daniel gave me the best package for the amazing price and even threw in a discount. Will be coming back and recommending to everyone who needs a rental.
DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!I am sitting in their waiting room at Edinburgh airport (not actually at the airport but 15 mins away). I have been sitting here for over an hour & still haven’t been allocated a car. I’ve been here longer than my flight from Belfast! Crowded waiting room (70+) with 7 seats! We pre-booked! I am disgusted!
