Bad experience with Easy TerraI rented a car in Vienna, via Easy terra, the now worry option, so full tank covers all costs, I arrive at the airport and have to pay 102 Euro extra. (extra tax) and the tank was almost empty. If your complaint with Easy Terra you get no response !.
I used EasyTerra to rent a car in Corfu, but when I went to pick it up from Alamo at the airport I was refused the car because I din't have an International Driver's permit. I have been driving in Europe, including Greece, for many years and have never needed one before. One time I did have one with me I was told they are only required if your home drivers license was not in the Roman alphabet.A technicality ignored by most rental companies. I was able to make another arrangement, but when I requested a refund from EasyTerra I was told "No"!I believe that it is illegal to take money without providing the agreed service, and any reasonable company would have refunded the money, perhaps less a handling fee. Clearly this is a company bordering on being an internet scam.I will not consider using them again and advise anyone thinking of using them to go directly to the car rental company - it is worth paying a little more to have some comeback if needed.The big lesson for me that I would like to pass on to others is NEVER, EVER PRE-PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR.September update. After an extended email campaign EasyTerra finally refunded my money, less a fee (which I think is quite reasonable), so eventually they did the right thing.
I booked a car rental in Budapest for a period of 17 days. A shuttle would pick us up at the airport. I had to enter my flight number at the time of booking for exact arrival and pickup time. After booking I saw that the pickup time was 5 hours later than my arrival. I called to change the pickup time and it was only possible if I paid the double amount!!!! The fault was not mine, the voucher clearly has my flight number on it!! I refused to pay another 300euro just for picking me up 5 hours earlier at the airport!!! And they just cancelled my booking, although this was not what I wanted. I called back 10 minutes later, but they couldn't undo the cancellation!!!! Nevertheless the e-mail I got stated that I could call them back to uncancel the reservation! This firm is just maffia!
