I haven't actually used the app but I can say without a doubt their customer service team are amazing. I purchased the app under the influence of some strong painkillers, after several calls and messages to my bank and no results, I emailed the Emma app customer services explaining my issue, on my second email I was told that id receive a full refund, I will definitely be recommending the app to anyone that needs their helpThank you again to the Emma customer service team
The app is a total game changer for those trying to take control of their finances. I started and failed at using spreadsheets for years and would end up in my overdraft every single month. Emma provides amazing visibility and incentive to save. All the hard work is done for you, all you have to do is keep a watchful eye and make choices based on what is reflected in the app. In less than 2 months of using the app I have gone from -£1500 to having £1500 in savings.
Avoid. During sign-up you will be asked to provide personal details and, if you wish, to link your bank accounts. Only then are you told that you will have to pay £8.99 per month to use the app (with a 7-day trial period). I tried to opt for the free plan but kept being taken back to the paid plan sign-up. I then uninstalled the app. That's 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I just hope no money has been taken from my account.
