Worst shit ever! Simply tots from a company that’s not really security oriented. Yes they sell cameras but the services ar not enough and the worst issue is that Arlo won’t notify you if a camera or the entire system fails. As a security oriented customer I need a system that always works and send me a push notice AND e-Mail AND SMS if it dont. I can’t and shouldn’t be forced to check that the system is alive every hour 24/7. Also, support can only be contacted weekdays (not holidays) 09:30 - 17:30. Why are this company into security and why do we buy their crap? I’ve been a paying customer for six years and had lot’s of different issues. Their support process is so obsurd and time consuming that it is ridiculous that I typically give up before problems get solved. Right now i noticed that my CVR camera does not work and it has not been working for a longer time. It should be eeeeasy for Arlo to alert from their side but then they wouldn’t be a toy company, which seems to be their ambition.
I had several indoor cameras working a year ago...they were usually dependable but because of the expense I persevered.After a year of being in storage because of renovations and change of wifi provider I had to start from scratch.A nightmare. The app has changed. No help offered.Arlo app refuses to recognise base station despite an entire afternoon repeating the process. I am spitting teeth. Heading for the bin with the lot.
Im disappointed in floodlight as I expected it to light up back garden more. Also the short distance before it picks up activity is disappointing. On checking this morning it has gone offline, therefore no security during the night. Ive been an Arlo customer for years and have purchased 6 Arlo pro cameras. I was thinking on paying for subscription but the floodlight has changed my mind.
It wasn't as easy as I thought to set up for videos and doorbell.I would like to have a contact number for some help with these issues but couldn't find one!I changed over from a Ring doorbell but not sure if I've done the right thing now!
