Absolutely awful experience. Had to call them three times to confirm the booking and they still got the time wrong. Then they left the car on my neighbour's drive without permission, blocking them in. Finally, I was supposed to receive a "like for like" car and the car I received was nothing like the car I drive. Terrible company, do not ever use them.This ridiculous response they’ve given underneath is just even more infuriating. I already emailed their customer service a week ago and they completely ignored me.Now they’ve called me and said they’ll collect the car between 8-12 when I won’t be home and I have to call a different number back to tell them I won’t be home. Why can’t they just do that? Absolutely disgusting company. They’ve caused me nothing but stress all week. Avoid them like the plague. Also, I can’t understand a word any of their employees say.
If I could give this 0 stars I would.The worst car rental service ever. They cancelled our car ON THE DAY meaning we couldn’t go away on the trip we had booked for our family and elderly parents, one disabled with dementia. No compensation was offered, no sincerity or even thought was put in any responses - just absolutely useless, disgusting shocking service. DO NOT EVER USE.
Booked an economy car well in advance for Saturday collection at Stansted. Price quoted for two days: £218.34. On arrival, they were unable to supply an economy car, and I was given the keys to a Mercedes. At the same time, I was told that if I returned the car within 24 hours, I would only have to pay for one day - which I did. Come Monday morning, I received an invoice for £307.33 for one day, and Customer Service are not explaining why I am being charged the additional amount. Very disappointing, as I've always used Europcar. (If Customer Service reads this, it's case 20874160.)
Beware of the Glasgow airport branch! Be sure to really check your rental agreement before signing it. Nothing you have verbally discussed with the personnel can be trusted.1. From the first minute, strong pressure to take a more expensive car and additional servicesYou can say 10 times that you don't want to pay for any additional services – but you can be sure that you will pay for them anyway. You will find out about it later and no matter what you have agreed with staff.WATCH OUT FOR DOCUMENT TRICKS: - bending documents in half - covering a sheet of paper - manual adding content
Read the negative comments of other customers - it is all 100% true. Their business standards - upselling, bundling, threatening, misleading on our example: 1. Refusal to release the vehicle in accordance with the reservation & voucher2. Trying to sell a more expensive vehicle rental service 3. If you insist on what you ordered, they will start scaring you and add additional costs for insurance, location, service and something else...4. If you refuse, you won't get a car, if you believe that there are no fees, they will add them to you later and you will be very disappointed For your safety - avoid and run away !!!
Using their services is looking for problems. I made a reservation for a car rental with Europcar UK but when picking up the car the rental company does not accept conditions from voucher. Strong pressure to buy additional services, combinations with rental conditions and deposit. Despite the fact that we had a good credit card and did not want to accept the purchase of additional services - we were lied to that it was a deposit and were tricked into charging a few extra fees. Very serious and strong recommendation - respect yourself and AVOID these greedy cowboys!!!
Respect yourself, your time and your money - stay away from Europcar GLA Office!Very strong price pressure on car upgrade and purchasing unnecessary services, threatening with fictitious penalties, manipulating documents, adding additional fees etc. A good tip for your safety - record the conversation with their staff when picking up and dropping off the car, always talk in the presence of witnesses, take lots of photos and do not arrange anything with them verbally, do not allow them to add anything to the contract, keep an eye on the documents at all times, when returning car request an employee's signature stating that the vehicle was returned without damage and refueled!!!or choose someone less greedy ;-)

Beware of GLASGOW AIRPORT Europcar branch One of the worst experiences of my life.From the moment you enter their office, strong pressure to take a more expensive car, tricky games with additional services, scaring you with penalties etc.When you repeatedly refuse to pay for something you don't need, the document combinations begin (folding signed documents in half, adding additional documents by hand, manual addition of services). At the end, we were charged a deposit (which is normal and understood) but when returning the vehicle we were told that this was not a deposit but additional services and they won't pay us back !!!Now think about, how you want to call it (#@$%), and whether you want to do deal with such people and such a company?!
