they let me off without a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was supposed to get a car in Luton Airport.My parents were coming over for few days so I decided to rent a car.The guy on desk just said "please have a sit, we will do a soft check before to handle the car to you".At the end they have said to me I couldn't have the car because I didn't pass the check on DVLA. That's ridiculous. I have been left without vehicle and all my plans broke off. Why don't you do these check when booking online instead to let people off just 5 minutes before to collect the car??? And the most ridiculous thing is that they didn't give me any explanation. I have driving licence since 16 years, never had an offence, never had a penalty. That's crazy! and after more than 2 weeks I have not seen not even a penny of reimbursement in my bank account.Stay far from Europcar!

Imagine you book a car on July 1st and have to return it on 15th August (you pay AND book, 10am pick up and drop off). Imagine you have a receipt to prove this.NOWWWW...Imagine you hand the car back at 09:26am and find out a week later that your account has been debited by £280.54 for late hand in.NOWWWWW. Imagine you call TWICE to complain and TWICE they promise an e-mail and DON'T send one.This company is s###... stay away...

Fraudulent sale of insurance

We rented a car from Keddy Rent a Car which turned out to be Europcar through Car Jet. The original cost of the vehicle was £375 all in which I paid in full. On arrival at the Europcar office at Gatwick I was informed that I would have to pay a £552.16 refundable deposit before I could take the car. My partner handed over his credit card which the lady said it would be blocked on, we told her immediately it had been taken off the credit card but she said it never mind it will be refunded on return of the vehicle. 8 weeks later and still no refund. Going through our paperwork recently we only now have noticed that she didn't take a deposit but rather sold us the most expensive insurance without telling us. It's charged as Premium Protection. Possibly our fault for not noticing it at the time but after travelling for for 19 hours from Cape Town via Dubai to the UK, you are eager to get on the road, so that's the reason we didn't notice that we had been blatantly lied to. We would still like this matter to be resolved and the lady in question to be charged instead as this is fraud.

Daylight robbery

I was provided with a vehicle with less than a full tank of fuel, and was advised to take a photo and return the vehicle with a similar level of fuel. I did so and was charged an additional fuel as it wasn’t returned full. The sort of service you’d expect from a two-bit outfit, not a multinational chain. Will stick with Sixt in future, rather than this robbing outfit

When we arrived at Manchester Airport, we weren’t given our car due to some computer issues on their end. Now we’re left without a vehicle, and all our plans have been ruined. To make matters worse, the cashier was incredibly rude—I've never experienced anything like it. I’d recommend avoiding this place entirely.

Europcar Glasgow: a serious health warning

We had pre booked a car from Europcar Glasgow. When we arrived to pick it up, after identifying the booking and preparing to give us the car they ‘discovered’ that their delivery truck had broken down so no cars were available. No solutions, no apologies, simply ‘we’ll call you if we get one’. I will leave you to make your own judgement on the acceptability of this service. Never again.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! booked a van week ago, had a call 2 days ago and all confirmed for delivery. I then get a call from the depot on the morning saying they can’t deliver I need to go pick up. So rude and swearing at me down the phone. Been in waiting for delivery and I now have no van! Disaster!! Please please please do not use this joke of a business. I am now raising a chargeback with my bank.

extremely unhelpful

they paid my PCN on my behalf, which made me lose my rights to appeal my ticket, i emailed them several times but they were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to come forward, i will never again book again with them, i made since then a booking with SIXT, who are much more helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATETHEY REPLY THAT YOU SHOULD EMAIL THEM TO SOLVE THE ISSUE, BUT THEY ACTUALLY WILL ONLY REPEAT THEIR PREVIOUS BROKEN STAEMENTS.(i wonder if they will reply the same misleading reply to this update)avoid anyways, there are much better companies on the market to choose from.

Exceptionally poor service and system

Exceptionally poor service and system. Booking a car online does not guarantee you a car in Belfast. this needs confirmed by the station the next day. If the booking is refused because the car isn't available, they offer you a premium number to call, yes you have to pay for the privilege to being a customer. At the same time the system still sends you instructions to confirm your identity although you aren't getting a car.The phone number for the branch, takes you to the main customer service, and again they do not know the availability of vehicles at the branch.The company is extremely difficult to book with and contact, therefore I would avoid at all costs if you don't want to waste your time.
