Honestly, this experience has been the worst. I moved in November of last year but didn’t have a working fridge until 12/17. The air filters that are supposed to arrive every 90 days have never been received but yet we pay a mandatory “benefits package” each month that is supposed to include those among other things I’m not receiving. When I ask them about it, no one gives me an answer. They just reference a previous email as to basically say, figure it out. My lease doesn’t end until November but here it is July and they’re harassing me about a renewal. I’m hopefully in the process of purchasing my own home because at this point, the prices and fees are getting outrageous with little to no help from these management companies.*******Update: Now that I’ve signed my new lease agreement, I am being told that I owe and extra $250 just for extending. I was never advised of this. When I mentioned it to them, they said it was included in an email sent on July 10th, but I didn’t receive a notice to renew until July 21st. So somebody lying and it’s just another way they are trying to get money out of people. At this point, I don’t even want to renew anymore. This place and experience has been nothing but a nightmare.
This has to be the worst Property Management Company to deal with. DO NOT RENT from this company. They do not care about their tenants at all. I have rented from Property Management Companies for years and this one is by far the absolute worst. You will regret renting from them. DO NOT DO IT!
I just rented a house with these property managers.Heres what went wrong:I was told we can have access to move in 12am. The day before we were told we cannot access the house 12 am but instead at 10am. Beware they may change up your plans last minute which can be costly.Next, there was a balance on the utilities which prevented us from changing them to our names. Well , this almost upset our tight move in deadline. They say you must have utilites in your name and it be verified before move in. How can we when you did not pay your bill in time and now we are inconvenienced. Finally, reaching someone live can be a challenge. Overall, we are already planning our exit from these people and just signed 12 months lease.
My breaker tripped in my hall bathroom. It had happened a few times before, and this time there was a burning smell, so I notified Evernest. They sent someone out to look at it (4 days later) who told me the light fixture wasn't properly sealed, which likely allowed moisture to occasionally get in and trip the breaker, but if the kids take shorter showers and keep the fan on it will help. I said ok. No work was completed. Then, a week later, I got stuck with a 10 day notice to pay for almost $300 even though no work was done. I emailed Evernest and they said the bill stands - because somehow a kid taking a hot shower is poor "behavior" for a tenant? Isn't taking hot showers normal "behavior" in a bathroom?
They are a terrible company and you will have hell to deal with. If you hear they are involved, run as fast as you can. They don't listen, they don't understand and they don't treat their customers or residents well. They are extremely heartless and absolute terrible individuals. One particular witch is Maria Servin. She is a snake of a lady and will hurt your family and is a cold and heartless B! I won't go into detail, but don't work with this company! Spread the word they are out for themselves and have no problem kicking out a family with 4 children! They don't deserve to be in business and hope they get shutdown!!! I also would have given 0 stars!!! Again stay away if you want to thrive in your home. They can't be trusted with your livelihood!!!
Everness property management replaced an inner during my house that cost $75 at Home Depot. They charge me almost $500 and didn’t even paint the door and asked me if I could paint it myself go figure not to mention the fact that they raised my rent over $800 in less than a year. They also are charging for postings on your door for demand for payments or an eviction notice from which I understand is illegal. For all and any complaints contact the Attorney General’s Office on their webpage under housing. The more complaints they have the attorney General will hopefully sue Evernest himself like he did in an Aurora apartment lawsuit. All tenants need to band together to make this happen.
We had a very bad experience with Evernest. They were asking for a fee just to tour a rental home in Dublin, CA.During the application process, they requested sensitive documents including bank statements, pay stubs, Social Security Number and a copy of our driver’s license. After we submitted those, they then asked us to upload a copy of our Social Security card.We weren’t comfortable sharing that, so instead, we provided a copy of our credit report. However, they rejected our application. So, be very cautious before dealing with this company. They collect all your sensitive documents under the pretense of showing a rental property.
