NOTE: I did receive a reply to my review and they asked for additional information, but I don’t see a way for me to reply to their reply . This site won’t let me post my email or phone. The email they have for me on their site is no longer active. I don’t know what to do.Their "Customer Support" is horrendous. I am trying to do something very simple -- change the email address associated with my account. To do that, you have to upload a copy of your original invoice which I don't have. It's been several years. Their "chat" feature and "phone" feature are totally automated and could not help me. There is a feature where I can send a message to their Sales staff. That message went unanswered. I guess they don't care about people who have already purchased their product.
Promotes itself as user friendly and cheap/free, but you can export your video without watermark only if you buy the subscriptions. Countless AI features that cloud the user interface and make it difficult to reach the result you're looking for. Literally buys people's positive reviews by offering lower prices if you give a review...
Disgracefully dishonest company using misleading claims and difficult to cancel recurring billing. 30 day money back guarantee is completely misleading (only valid if you have been billed twice by accident - not a satisfaction guarantee as you would expect). I found I was signed up for creative assets (another recurring charge in the fine print that I had to cancel). One year later after not using the software, I was charged another $99 when I thought I'd cancelled it. The support is terrible, no way to escalate any concern or make a complaint (no one wants to know, they just take your money). As for the software, it was ok for basics but I moved to Davinci Resolve (free and 1000x better).
Really sleazy. I paid my annual fee only to find that you can't do anything without spending a fortune in AI credits. Those details were buried in the fine print. I cancelled within a few hours and now I won't even get a full refund. I will only get a partial refund and it will take them days to process it.To make it worse, their refund form was very difficult. They wouldn't let me process it without an image file, so I had to create one to complete it. Deeply disappointed.
I have bought the software but really it's not worth the price. The features it presumably gives are.. well, like a chinese watch, not accurate, only "existing"... I am not happy with the basic solutions this software is giving....
I got baited by the promise of a free video editing software, put in hours of editing, only to find I need to pay to export without a watermark. Fine, I go look to pay and the price is 5$/mo which would be manageable, but the only charge at a yearly rate, which is BS. What's the point of marketing your product as a free editor if the most important part (exporting what you make) is locked behind a pay wall? Scummy scamy company trying to get every penny they can while putting on the face of a free solution. They do not deserve your respect, not to mention it's littered with AI nonsense they constantly make pops ups for, very disappointing
I have been using Filmora for over a decade because my ex partner introduced me to the brand and I needed something I could use easily to create videos.The experience has been, in general, very painful.Customer service is pretty unhelpful and I suspect I have two paid accounts with them but have been able to get to the bottom of this (I have health problems and get confused sometimes).Over the years, they have added more and more things which you have to pay for in order for them to work and every time I accept an update it causes me such issues that today I refused to let the new version download. I originally bought a lifetime subscription but they have charged me repeatedly.Honestly, if this product was free I wouldn't mind but we all PAY for just the very basics and it feels like the people who make Filmora just care about getting as much money out of their customers with as little effort as possible.
