To be fair, the Tiger shops are excellent. The staff are great, very positive and helpful. The layout of the store is great. The products are very good quality and good value for money. However.....The online shopping experience is dire. As all of the other reviewers have commented - they delay in receiving orders are terrible. I agree. I waited over 7 weeks for my order of products - most of which were Christmas gifts. They eventually arrived and 2 of them were damaged beyond repair. Thanks to the UK no longer being part of the EU, we will now experience delays with good arriving from other European countries; as well as the rest of the world. Ok fair play, but what made things worse for Tiger, was that the delivery companies did not have the correct information and could not locate the parcels.Tiger, please get it together - this should work a dream.**Update** On a more positive note, the company gave me a full refund. Thank You
Ordered November 26th and was messed around until December 21st when I gave up and stopped corresponding altogether as wasn’t getting anywhere. Customer services wouldn’t respond to emails at all despite the website stating you’d receive a response within “3 working days”, the social media team even acknowledged customer services were overwhelmed and unable to reply to messages yet the website STILL stated response within 3 days when they knew damn well they couldn’t honour that. I ended up sporadically corresponding with someone from SkyNet I think? When they could be bothered, getting a reply was like pulling teeth. Customers were also given fake fed ex tracking numbers as no one’s tracking worked and the website just stated it didn’t recognise the details. To me that was one of the most shocking parts to be honest, they should have held their hands up then and admitted a problem instead of giving out false tracking and even false delivery dates. I find it a bit odd the Lying Tiger social media team were all over Instagram and Facebook replying to people saying they were aware there were major problems and yet the site remained open and continued to do business?! I believe they should have closed the site to concentrate on the existing orders they couldn’t even fulfil as soon as the problem became apparent. I finally spoke to someone via Facebook today and they said they’ll refund me. We’ll see. This is such a shame as I was a regular customer in their Birmingham and Solihull stores but will honestly never shop with them again.
I placed an order online on 18th November for Christmas bits which I thought would be with me in plenty of time. By 20th December I had still not received it. The shipping company they used (skynet) are absolutely terrible and you cannot contact them. So I never received my order & just told them to return my parcel and refund me as it’s no good to me now. Also, when I first placed my order, there were several items which said were in stock when I ordered them and a few days later I was told they were out of stock and they had to refund me. Absolutely terrible experience & I will never shop with them again after this.
I would not recommend buying anything from this store online. While they give some dimensions, they’re quite useless, e.g. they give height and width in centimetres for spice and cake jars instead of litres and millilitres, making it rather hard to gauge it. There is a reason its so cheap, and that’s because the sizes are a joke - the 30 spice jars I ordered were the size of a thimble, and “cake” tins barely accomodate a standard cup of contents. Plus, there’s a store in my city, which I thought I had ordered from, yet the delivery came across two countries several days later. Never again.
I ordered and like others have experienced delays. Today I finally find that it is out for delivery, but they're sending it to my billing address - an address I no longer have access to - instead of delivery address. I checked, and I did complete my order correctly. Now there is no way to get it, and the delivery company say that they can't deliver to my proper address. Yes, I should be more ahead on updating my billing address, but this is still their mistake and I'm now without my parcel forever.
ordered for xmas over a week ago . The tracking number they gave is not recognised by the courier (Fedex), no response to my emails - looks like I will have to request a refund, as it won't be here for xmas.Lovely shop - appalling online service.
So disappointed to find out that this company is doing greenwashing: promoting itself as sustainable and eco-friendly, but then making unnecessary long and polluting shipments. Despite about 100 shops in Italy, the order I made for delivery to Italy was shipped from Poland (2000km distance)! Also, although the order was made on the 9th of December, today (21st) the parcel has not yet arrived to its destination and the courier (SkyNet, impossible to contact!) does not update the tracking details - the latest info on their website dates back to the 16th. After this bad experience, I don't think I would recommend Flying Tiger to my friends.
I bought a backgammon from their website, it arrived damaged and, even more seriously, with many pieces (dice and checkers) missing. I immediately contacted the assistance service, attaching the photos, but after about 2 weeks no one deigned to answer. € 16 lost for nothing.I will never buy from their site and in their street shops again.
