Disappointed with the replacement they sent under warranty; the new machine lacked power and is in my view not similar in any other way other than it was to cut grass. The machine only lasted 14 months prior to the motor burning out. Shortage of parts, which is understandable however felt this was just ticking a box on Flymos part.
Bought a battery easistore lawnmower for £199,00 via AO.com. Has a lack of power and I have had three batteries fail within a year. It takes two batteries to work which take ages to charge (around 3 hours) and give you about an hour of grass cutting. Already had two batteries replaced so far and was told by customer services then that there is not a reported issue with the integrity of the batteries.... well there clearly is for it to happen again. I had to wait 6 weeks previously for a replacement one and my grass was knee high by the time the replacement arrived and the flymo couldn’t cut it! so I have gone out and bought a new mower by another brand. Have used flymos with no issues for the past 20 years. Recommend not to bother buying a cordless product from flymo, the batteries and charger are crude and nothing like what you get elsewhere with battery pack and charger. There are lot of similar reviews stating the same problems as I have had with the battery dying…… Massively disappointed! Item not fit for purpose! Should be taken off sale!As of the 15th Dec... not refunded
Absolutely sickening poor customer service. The customer service team sadly have an average IQ below 10 and the inability to Function correctly. 3 weeks ago I contacted them reference a warranty issue, followed up with 2 calls and 3 emails....still no joy! Avoid at all costs or else you will be stranded With a duff product
Assumptive Mysyngony? Distanced understanding of the users of this product but a range of diverse individuals?Poor design of a many features of what should be an outstanding possibility in a saturated market of similar machines. The 'grass collector' is the most obvious.Having spent hours trying to 'put together' the resolutely refuses to co-operate.I have, after numerous attempts at attempting to check & and sort the above, I need to say that this model is hugely lacking in what the likes of Bosch and other providers give. The instructions are vague and unclear.Taking the wheels off to reduce/increase the cutting hight? Really ??Come on? I'm a single person with very limited time, Autism and ADHD. I purchase this lawn mower on Amazon at (allegedly) £20 less than marked price. Why? because of the branding. How wrong could I be??No point in returning the (used) mower to Amazon, because the design and related 'Flymo' issues are not theirs.I hear from others on Trust Pilot that there's a general swirl of discontent about design and quality; so, why the heck are we continuing to field this???Siobhan Gorry
Awful product, just awful. After my previous Flymo cordless mower went kaput because the terminals in the battery bent (this happened earlier when I bought it- replaced), I gave the mower away and purchased the latest model Easistore 300 (March 2020) which seemed to have seriously addressed the battery issue. However the two, now very easy to install batteries lasted just 20 minutes and took 3 hours to charge. After much correspondence, Flymo sent out two spare batteries.I then found faults:- The collection bin tilts forward so all the clippings stay near the opening and always spill out when taking the bin off.The only three height settings are inefficient:- the lowest scalps the grass and the highest doesn't engage the roller. So that leaves one setting. To set the height you have to individually move each wheel against a loaded spring. The underside is pocked with random nooks and crannies which obviously fill with grass. And back to the batteries: after hibernation in a dry brand new garage over the winter, three of four batteries were completely dead. Couldn't be charged.Shortly after that , the fourth gave out.Look on e Bay and see all the cordless Flymo mowers where batteries are dead/faulty/absent
EasiGlide 300v.Upon assembling, I notice that the Upper Handle is split; on both sides of the tube, where the Upper Handle is pierced with a square hole to enable Upper Cable Hook to be bolted to the handle. (That's why airliners don't have square windows).Exchanged for Hover Vac 270 - within a minute of operation a Handle Fixing Pin (plastic) had vibrated free, allowing the handle to become detached from the mower body. Rectified by utilising plastic pins with safety wire (like a split pin). These probably came from a mower cannibalised several years ago.
Having received a faulty Fymo Easyglide in May, which lasted all of two uses, we commenced in early July to pursue, initially an exchange. However, having been ignored and stalled for over a month now, we find ourselves in mid August still trying to organise a pick up so that a refund can be issued. The shoddy customer service response has meant that not only do we want another product from this company, we are now on the brink of contacting trading standards to get our money back. This company's customer service is not fit for purpose.
This is the third Flymo I have bought and the worstTwo pivot pins failed within two months tried to get two under warranty and they said they are out of stock !contact Flymo direct so there is a obvious fault, waiting for Flymo to replyThis fault is on the Flymo 250 turbo lite.Flymo a name you can trust not under this warranty awful
I got a flymo eleco glide 300 and it's build quality is really terrible the lid and basket don't fit properly so the grass is blown over the garden, don't get one and there customer service is really second rate if you can get through as there using the coronavirus as a excuse to be lazy...
