Mix Quesadilla with a side order of food poisoning

Ordered a quesadilla from the German Doner Kebab in Colchester. When it arrived it was paper thin and not worth the £14 something that they had charged for the meal. Within a few hours of eating it I began getting stomach cramps and have now had diarrhoea for over 24 hours. Doctors today have diagnosed food poisoning. I had not eaten anything else in the 24 hours leading up to food poisoning. Do not order here if you don’t want to be ill.

Ilford GDK serves paper thin meat!

Ilford GDK serves paper thin, cold doner meat everytime,I have visited several other GDKs and the meat is hot, juicy, flavoursome and generous pieces.

Ordered directly from gdk online…

Ordered directly from gdk online instead of the usual way around midnight. The delivery was mistakenly scheduled for 12 hours later. And all attempts to rectify this with both gdk and Uber eats failed. This resulted in finding alternative food, and having to wait for the no longer needed delivery to arrive as scheduled. However, the delivery time and drivers kept changing until the order was cancelled on the tracking link. Attempts to contact gdk by phone for an explanation or refund resulted in being indefinitely put on hold. Online content suggests that refunds on cancelled orders will be automatically done in 3, 5 or 10 days. Hopefully I will get the refund, but it will definitely not make up for the frustration, and waste of time this caused me. I think ordering for delivery via Uber eats is better than using the gdk website. Because Uber eats will always respond, and resolve any issues promptly or responsibly better #if the order was completely placed with their platform. The actual food rating would have been 2.5 or 3 based on past #Boss box OG orders. Because the quality is generally tolerable #as expected from most fast food deliveries especially. Only the warmth of the food may flactuate, and not be very great if you like piping hot food. Which may be due to distance and extra busy delivery periods!

We always travel to Exeter for GDK but they have just opened a branch in Bournemouth!!! The manager, Asan, was an absolute legend, so happy and bubbly. His staff looked shattered but his energy must have been keeping them going. We got our daughter one for her birthday and wasn't too hungry, got back home, regretted it and went back and got ourselves one 😂

GDK BlackburnUnfortunately there is no way of giving zero stars but this place needs zero stars Sent my order out with onions after I specifically asked for no onions, I called the restaurant and was put on hold for 16 minutes then told me nothing they could do about it!Disgusting service, Disgusting way of treating a customer and binned food that cost over £20! Will never use this place again and I advise others not too

Waited way too long for food

Waited way too long for food, was too spicy even though I ordered a meal that contained no spices. It was the only meal me and my partner have eaten together in the last 72 hours and we're both quite poorly with same symptoms this is hard to prove but that's my opinion There were people's shoes on tables, uncleaned tables, just not a great place to eat, I would not recommend.

The issue that I have experienced was: On 19/12/25 I made an order on Uber Eats from the Bexleyheath branch, there was an offer where you could get 2 boss boxes for 20% off.Please see below of what I ordered and what I got.Box 1 - was supposed to be the veggie kebab with no tomatoes, garlic or spicy sauce. Extra onions, lettuce and cabbage however, I received MIXED MEAT KEBAB.Box 2 - was supposed to be Mixed Meat Kebab with extra lettuce and red cabbage. I received a VEGGIE KEBAB.The food that I ordered is a serious violation of a dietary requirement, which is a serious health/safety concern. I ordered a veggie meal for dietary/vegetarian reasons and received meat instead which makes the food entirely unusable and unacceptable.My husbands mixed donor kebab which was the veggie meat had the spicy and garlic sauce with it and tomatoes so we were unable to swap.Uber Eats has given me a refund of 53p through an automatic bot chat. I have been unable to get through a live representative who can help with this issue and I have been trying since yesterday.I am simply requesting a full refund. If I do not get this refund, I will have to escalate this matter, as it is a serious violation of a dietary requirement.I contacted the Bexleyheath branch yesterday at 19:33 pm shortly after the food arrived and I was told by the manager that they wouldn't have made that mistake however I have proof of the issue (photos attached). I was also told to email the branch, the email bounced back as the email was not recognised. I called the branch back and I was told that it is the correct email.It occurred on: 19/12/2025This meant that I am pregnant and I waited for about an hour until the food arrived and I am disgusted by the response received by GDK branch at Bexleyheath as well as Uber Eats. When I spoke to the branch manager, being told that they couldn't have made that mistake and that they often hear about the veggie meat being mistaken for real meat however I know for a fact that the veggie meal was the mixed donor meat and the mixed donor meat was in fact the veggie meal. We couldn't swap as we asked for different things within our orders.I am requesting a full refund.
