If i could give zero stars i would. They offer no resolutions for people who run into financial issues. I have had my truck over a year paying on time and sometimes paying more than required. With the government shutdown i called because i am receiving no paycheck and they offered me no resolution and when they do allow an extension they charge 400 which is half the cost of the truck. I will never finance with them again i would rather deal with capital one.
The absolute worst... Our car was totalled and insurance covered $12,000 which left us with having to still pay $4000.and they refused to offer lower payments as we had to lease a new car. So now stuck with two full payments, one for a vehicle we no longer have!
Zero stars !Worst experience I’ve ever had with GM financial in my life, now that I have thought about it. I would’ve bought a Mercedes-Benz.!Horrible customer service extremely rude representative. How can somebody tell you your residual would change when you only have 7500 miles on a car you bought in December 2023. I only have 13 payments left. This is what you get when you’re dealing with somebody that doesn’t care about you !Totally unhelpful, completely dissatisfied !No tickets, no accidents, Trying to tell me the residual would change from the original amount that I had when I signed the paperwork. How is that possible?Beyond dissatisfied !
Worst loan company I’ve ever dealt with.I purchased a car on April 24 in Arizona and brought it into California on April 28. When I went to the DMV on May 13 to register it, I found out that GM Financial had not even initiated the title transfer. Apparently, they don’t automatically start this process when a loan is opened — you have to call and request it yourself. This is completely ridiculous, and unless you’re a dealership, you’d have no reason to know that. After finally getting them to initiate it, they told me it would take 5–8 weeks just to mail the title, which is somehow “part of their process.” According to the tracking number, the title was finally delivered to the DMV on June 10 — nearly 7 weeks after I brought the car into California.Despite me explicitly providing the correct address for my local DMV office, GM Financial ignored my instructions and sent the title to DMV headquarters, which does not process public transactions and does not forward documents to local offices. I later found out this happened because the address I initially gave was a PO Box (which FedEx can’t deliver to), and instead of calling to clarify or request a different address, they just made an assumption and sent it to the wrong place — which is what got us into this mess.At my DMV appointment on June 17, I was told DMV headquarters was still opening mail from June 1, meaning my title is stuck in a backlog. Once they get to it, they’ll send it back to GM Financial, and per GM's customer service, that restarts the entire process — potentially another 5–8 week delay with no guarantee they’ll send it to the right location this time either.Since then, I’ve called multiple times (5/13, 6/17, 6/19, 7/2, 7/23, and 7/29) and submitted relocation request forms twice — the second of which they claim never went through. I’ve received zero proactive communication — every piece of information I’ve gotten has been through my own hour-long calls. When I finally asked to speak to a supervisor on 7/29, I had to push just to get escalated. Only then was I told, for the first time, that they could request a duplicate title from Arizona, which apparently could take another 6–8 weeks just to receive — and an additional 6–8 weeks for GM to process on their end.My vehicle legally needed to be registered by July 27, 2025 (90 days from April 28), and because of GM Financial’s continued negligence, I am now past that deadline and at risk of registration penalties, fines, and being unable to legally drive the car I’m actively making payments on. Any fees incurred as a result of this will be their responsibility.Avoid GM Financial at all costs. Their customer service is careless, their process is broken, and they take zero accountability for the messes they create. Worst experience I've ever had with a loan company.I have already sent a formal letter of intent to pursue legal action against GM Financial, and I will hold them fully liable for the financial and legal consequences of their repeated failures. And to GM Financial: Don’t bother commenting asking me to reach out to your social media team — I’ve already done that, and nothing came of it. There is still no resolution. If you respond here with a generic comment asking me to contact you, it will be clear you didn’t even read this review and are just copying and pasting a standard reply — which perfectly sums up your customer service experience.
Just got off the phone for the third week in a row. Trying to refinance my car through my credit Union, been approved all I need is a copy of my title. Pablo told me the bank had to ask for it. So I went to my bank on speaker phone with my loan officer, Jole said he would fax it over in 48 hrs. A week later I call again Sharma tells me it was faxed over on July 21 even though my bank has not received it. She Iinformed me it would be another 2-3 days before the bank can get a fax for a copy of title that was supposedly already sent. Now I wait again for a few days. I don't recommend this company for anyone unless you are desperate. Run around Run around is what you will get. Next course of action is the Better Business Bureau
Lack of accountability for mistakes made on their behalf. Lack of response in a timely manor. Continuous drop calls. System seems to be built around Commodore 64 programming. And will ask the same questions 3-4 times on the same subject after explanations have been given. Customers are always wrong, not the company. WILL NEVER HAVE THEM AS A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AGAIN.
I've made all of my payments on time for the last two years. I ran into some financial trouble because they raised my rent. I will go out of my way.Never to finance a car with general motors again. They offer no real solution. Well , yeah , there's a solution , but you have to pay the interest all along and there are fees involved. They really need to have a program for people that run into snags. I mean , they are a multimillion dollar company , so why not. I was humming along pretty good until I ran into a problem. Now i'm very angry and they got hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars in my payments used towards interest. While I am sobbing daily watching my friends go on long trips and thriving, I am at rock bottom. Wonder what the GM share holders, presidents and executives are doing this weekend with all the money they get.
This company needs to be audit they are aware of Rick Hendricks doing shady sales the lady rep that I spoke with stated to me to report them to as many places as possible a rep name grace from Rick Hendricks stated that another lady called about her trailblazer and she understood what I was saying about my truck cutting off and it’s only 9 months old the 24 of June people besides me been calling in the lady from GM stated she was putting in a complaint and asked my age 65 they think they can scam the elderly both of these companies need to be audit because this is not the first time I believe that someone has purchased a brand new vehicle and had a finance to GM and then had issues in reference to a brand new vehicle they need to be ordered
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I started with a title relocation request in Jan 2025 and GM financial sent my title to a state that I wasn't moving to. They sent my title to my home state as well as sending a relocation title to my new state, all the while I'm being told that I only have one title.
