Cadillac Financial ReviewI had an issue with a payment refund. I called Cadillac Financial and received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. From the first call where I spoke to Julia, to the completion of my issue, I spoke with so many nice competent agents who all tried to help me. Julia followed up with a call back to me to explain how the refund would be sent. Just incredible customer service. Than you Julia and everyone at Cadillac Financial.
This place is God awful. They lie to get you into a vehicle and then you give the run around with horrible communication. They do not provide or with you for any assistance should you fall on economic hard times with this chaotic economy. Miss one payment they call you a million times even if you have already spoken with a representative and they will repo your car even after making payment arrangements (if you're eligible). Once my car is paid off I'll never do business with any Chevrolet business!
I have regretted financing my car through GM every month since I signed the paperwork years ago. Their customer service representatives are rude, talk over and down to you, and will blatantly lie to you as well. One rep had the nerve to tell me that I "should be grateful" that they were willing to work with me when I had a remaining balance at the end of my loan, as if they hadn't already made thousands off me via the criminally high 20% APR! I signed the paperwork for their new terms with 24 hours of receiving it, and despite multiple calls over the last two weeks asking for an update, was told it was still being processed. In the meantime, they've gone and reported me to the credit bureau - after multiple reps told me I wouldn't be reported because I'd already signed the paperwork to get my account in good standing. So I called today to inquire about that, and was told not only do they not have any control over whether I get reported to the credit bureau, but the paperwork had been signed on their end on 10/16. So my account has been in good standing for over 10 days and I still got falsely reported, and my online account still isn't updated to allow for my first payment. They claim they will fix the mistake, but considering the blatant lack of competence I've seen so far, I won't be holding my breath. Now the credit score I've worked hard to raise over the last 5 years has plummeted, all because of their negligence. I will never, ever finance through GM again, and I've told everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. They don't care about their customers at all and don't properly train their staff either.
I am giving GM Financial a one star but also Tomball Dodge Chrysler and Jeep for intentionally adding my name as a joint owner on the purchase of an OVERPRICED auto. I was told my son needed a co-signer and the finance company ONLY spoke to him about the financing details, instructions etc. However, after taking a look a my CR, I shows I am the joint owner. After some research I found out this is the same dealership I had to file a police report on years ago because my sister used my mother's name and SS number to purchase a vehicle. My mother was unware of this until the invoice came in her name. I called the police and several other agencies to get the car repo and my mother's name taken off and remove this from her credit report!!!!
These people have no idea what actual Customer Service means. They treat you like you have no brain. Talk over you, imply that you are getting something for nothing. I made the huge mistake of allowing them to finance my new GM purchase. That won't happen again. They lost me and several others.
I wish I can give them -10 or more .paid off my vehicle in February.autopay was taken out again in march .tried calling them and talked to 20 different ppl in 5 months and promised every time that I will receive my check in 7 days and now its July .pls stay away from this company and I will never buy and gmc vehicle in my lifetime as I like their trucks but not customer service .so done with them .
TO: GM managementFROM: Delores HayesRE: A letter saying we don't owe anything on our 2022 Chevy Equinox I am livid at this time! I have called GM 8 times just to get a letter showing that our 2022 Chevy Equinox was paid off when we traded it in this last February, 2024.6/25/24 - Christine said there is a charge of $8.15 that is still showing to be a shortage on our account. She would get that amount removed since it HAD actually already been paid. She indicated I would get this letter within 24-48 hours.6/26/24 - called checking on it to make sure it is still coming to me. Oscar said I "should" still get it by the end of 6/27/24.6/27/24 - no email showing that we DON'T owe anything.6/28/24 - Becca @ GM is saying we owe $342.22 in taxes, which we weren't unaware of. We paid it that day thru our bank. 6/28/24 - Advised Karl @ GM later that day the taxes were paid today. He is still showing the $8.15 still being owed also. He didn't see anything about the taxes. ....????..... (Frustration is building.) However, he now tells me he is removing that charge that was supposed to have been removed on 6/25/24 by Christine. But he would make sure I get a copy of that in.....wait for it.....yep, you got it! In another 24-48 hours.7/1/24 - Stormy @ GM said she is going to follow up and once the tax money got posted, she would email the info that I still needed. Indicated again it could take up to 24-48 hours. 7/8/24 - I called twice that day and was told the computers were down and call back later.7/9/24 - John or Jean @ GM didn't indicate any notes on the account about my request and said I would get one ...... ...... yep, another 24-48 hours. I asked for a supervisor. He wouldn't transfer me to one but after being on hold for about half an hour, he said a supervisor is going to escalate this request and I should get it by 6:00 p.m. today.Later this afternoon, I didn't want to wait until 6:00 to call back when they are closed, so I called at 5:00. Now per Zachery, evidently a supervisor @ GM, said I "should" still be getting that by the end of business today. I told him I didn't believe him and that I was going to call back tomorrow AND send a letter of complaint about this 2 week ordeal that should have only taken "24-48" hours!I am furious over this whole mess up! I would like a explanation as to why there was so much mixup and where the $8.15 came from in the first place and why that charge wasn't deleted 6/25/24 by Christine or 6/28/24 by Karl as I was told would happen. Once the request was submitted to the department that sends those letters out, why wasn't I notified that I would not be getting a letter if they aren't going to send one. I didn't just ask for the letter for my health or the fun of it, I need the letter to show proof that we don't owe anything on that car for other business that I'm trying to manage. I have dealt with GM for many many years and never had a problem until now. Once that ball starts rolling in the wrong direction, it picks up speed very fast and escalates to the nth degree!
After receiving several months bills at 0 balance, calling them to ask why it was a 0 balance and being reassured for 2 months that it was 0 and we owed nothing, we were not sent one late bill, not one bill where we had not made a payment, in May of 2024 we were told we had been 40 days past due since October of 2023. The first person had quite the attitude about it until we got another person after researching on our end, that person went all the way back and found an error that THEY made. paying our account with someone else's payment. Not found for 6 months. Once they fixed that payment, it put ours in overdue status even though we originally called them and tried to figure it out. They never told us about the found payment that was not ours. We were told that in 24-48 hours they would fix it since it was their mistake not ours, a week later, I am being called AGAIN telling us we are 40 days late!!! Rosie assures me that this time it will take 24-48 hours to fix. I certainly hope so. I have wasted so much of my time on the phone with them back in 2023 and now again in 2024. Be more careful, follow up with what you promise.
I was recently involved in a motor vehicle accident where my vehicle was totaled and it was financed with Gm Financial. The accident was not my fault and I was taken to an emergency room and I have sustained injuries and when my husband called to see if we could delay our monthly payment while waiting for our motor vehicle insurance to pay the balance, on what we owed, and for our Gap insurance to pay the negative we were told no we had to continue making payments if we did not want it to affect my credit. at no point did GM ask if I was OK or if anyone else involved in the motor vehicle was OK it was just all about collecting the monthly payment. The balance was paid by my insurance company within 2 weeejs , as the motor vehicle that hit me did not carry insurance , so they received $33,000. They still insisted I had to make another monthly payment until they received my gap insurance money which was $5000 again no questions asked as to whether I was OK so this just goes to prove this company is all about the money they do not care about the customers I will never finance my vehicle again through this company. My gap insurance has paid the balance, and I’m still waiting for a confirmation letter to show that I owe no money and actually I’m waiting because they owe me money. Let’s see how long they take to pay me what they owe me. !!!
Beware!!! I've been leasing vehicles for decades and never a problem. This time when I turned in my Chevy Blazer and leased a new Chevy Trax, I received bill for what they are calling "inventory deficiency". What the heck is this??? A money grab is what it is, can't beat em so I'm just leaving them, don't even care about the GM discount I get from my father. What I save there they take back at the end. Goodbye GM ...
