I am attempting to purchase a vehicle through GM financial. My bank is automatically sent them a check out and they have cashed the checks. They changed their address and through the bank and their representatives I spoke with them about my attempts to pay, I was treated multiple times like I was fabricating the story, and now they are ruining my credit rating all because they will not cash checks they're being sent to them after cashing checks no problem before. This is really upsetting as I'm getting absolutely nowhere with customer service. They're calling multiple times a day and yet they will not cash the checks that are being sent to them almost like they are attempting to intentionally repossess the car.

The most terrible, unorganized process ever. They lost my title. When I try to call, they give me the run-around and say that "the department that handles titles does not take customer phone calls." My car is currently impounded, and I can't get it out until I get my title. They told me they would fax it, and it took five days. Then, on the fifth day, they said they can't fax it and will have to mail it, and it will take 5-7 business days. A total unprofessional mess. Good luck getting decent customer service. Zero stars. The supervisor's name is Stephen and he is terrible as well. Context: I've been requesting my title for a year now.
I had paid off my vehicle in July but cannot track ever receiving my title from GM Financial. Three calls and several visits to their website yielded no satisfaction. Customer servicers must hate their job, they were disinterested and were difficult to understand/hear. I now have to file a lien release and get a duplicate title, so much for a professional process.
I'm a military service member who has to move overseas, but GM won't assist me in a timely manner to provide documentation for me to take my vehicle with me. When I receive orders I have to move, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect customer support to facilitate this process. I have gone back and forth with the military department and it blows my mind how a simple document stating lienholder information cannot be produced. Once I leave I can't complete the process to ship this vehicle, but I still have to pay on it. This is unacceptable and should be illegal. This needs immediate response.
GM Financial Services is the worst credit provider I've ever had. Their customer service agents are rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. The company lacks compassion and only cares about money. I recently lost my car in a fire accident and reached out to them to report it and let them know that I had filed an insurance claim and needed a break from payments to deal with the insurance and gap claims and the loss. However, the customer service agent was rude and inconsiderate, insisting that he didn't care about my loss and that I needed to continue making payments. They continued to report adversely to the credit bureaus. When my insurance company paid my claim, they did not credit my account nor notify me until I called three weeks later. The customer agent was rude, disregarded my concerns, and focused only on how I should make monthly payments, or they would continue reporting to the credit bureau and continue collection activities. I told them that I had a gap insurance claim pending and needed it resolved and the remaining balance paid, but they continue to report it adversely to the credit bureaus. Gap finally sent a check in my name on October 25, but as of December 3, they neither credited my account nor acknowledged receipt of the check until I called. They told me they did not receive the check. When my insurance company made a lump payment, it did not reduce my interest charges.
Paid for a warranty, used the GM roadside assistance, but they couldn't deliver fuel to me, so I paid out of pocket. They told me I could get reimbursed if I sent in the receipt and explained what happened. I did everything I was supposed to, and they had the audacity to say that the receipt wasn't good enough? It had everything they needed, and they still denied me. Don't go through them. They will rip you off.
