I had a shocking experience with the lender of the van and GoBoony! Beware you can be cancelled at short notice with no compensation, unable to book anything else with a few days notice and clearly explained my husband has just passed away. All via an email that I read accidentally. I’ll be using a hire company in future as the customer has next to no protection when a lender has an argument with their partner! Shocking experience and extremely disappointed to say the least!
Great from start to finish. Easy booking. Katie showed us all the things we needed to know about the gas, beds, hook up, water etc which as 1st time motor homers was very useful. The van was easy to drive, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed it so much I have booked a weekend away for October
We booked a campervan hire through this website and the owner accepted the booking. Money all paid on time. A week to go and we booked and paid our campsites which are none refundable and the owner cancels out van hire because it was no longer convenient to be around for collection and drop off. Money has not yet been returned and campsite won't refund. Owner at liberty to do this last minute with no comeback as we can't review him now he's cancelled it. Be wary especially of Jason in Tamworth.
Not happy about insurance excess and deductible deposit being hijacked.will goboony pay toll charges or refuelling costs out of the money they take from the customer? They won't so the deposit we normally take covered all these things, now we have to try and claim it after hire is finished, more hassle.insurance excess is about £21/ weekend, they charge £69.I think they are more interested in money than providing a useful booking site.
I accidentally booked the wrong dates for a van and realised this the next morning. The owner was great and communcative. However the automatic system took nearly £200 from the refund which was in line with the booking terms and which i know was down to my own daft error, but which seemed excessive given the short time between booking and cancellation.
Had a fantastic holiday through a booking on Goboony! We had tried contacting several vans on other sites and received no responses, which actually delayed our holiday by a few months.We found Goboony and contacted a van owner who got back to us within 10 minutes, happily accepting the booking and really helpfully explaining the next steps.Booking in, paying and picking up the van through Goboony's site and forms was incredibly easy (the owner was fantastic too so that made it all the easier). The owner rents through multiple sites and advised the Goboony process was the fastest and easiest of the choices.We had the ability to see our booking and contact the owner at all times, thankfully we had no problems while we were away but were reassured by the breakdown cover and insurance details.We won't be going back to the other sites, we've already got 2 holidays planned for next year that we'll be booking through Goboony.Obviously experiences may differ based on the van owner but the Goboony system was perfect.
