Kate was our allocated solicitor and we were most thankful . She was thorough and careful. However still managed to sail through conveyencing process in less than 2 months. Dont expect daily communication. Or even weekly as communication is only when needed. However Kate did always answer any questions we put to her. We are now happy and settled in our new home. And will always be grateful to Kate.

Katherine was an excellent solicitor throughout our purchase of a flat. From start to finish, she was responsive, professional, and consistently kind in her communication.Although the purchase progressed quite quickly, completion was achieved in around three months, which was impressive. At times when the process felt slow or unclear (as conveyancing often does), Katherine was always happy to provide clear updates and reassurance, which we really appreciated.She was very prompt in replying to emails, and on the occasions when we called for updates or to ask for further information, everyone who answered the phone was genuinely helpful and well-informed. From start to finish it was as a smooth transaction as you could ask for. The customer service was great,with so much of the work done by computer and ,email etc I was very unsure on how to complete it ,but this was no problem to the staff. They made everything easy for myself to complete all the necessary documentation as required. All questions and answers communication that I sent was replied to very quickly.You were treated with the greatest respect and curtesy at all times whether on the phone or visiting the office .I would just like to say a very big thank you to all that were involved in this transaction.
As a first time buyer, Louis and team at Gordon Brown made the process easy and relatively pain free! My only criticism (& it is minor) is that it would've been nice to have a piece in the "welcome pack" which states what proof of deposit you need, so that when the times comes near the end of the process, you have it all ready and waiting and not have such a rush trying to find all the evidence of the deposit origins.Would definitely recommend Gordon Brown Law, and would happily use again if I ever need to.
Purchased a house in June and was advised by a previous solicitor that the house was actually leasehold due to being shared ownership. They were unable to deal as they had nobody available trained so was passed over to Gordon Brown.I was assigned to Emily who took over my purchase, Emily was very helpful and very patient with me as it was quite a long process (through no fault of Emily) and was causing me quite a bit of anxiety but she was very understanding of my situation.All in all a very good experience and I am now finally in my new home.
