SCAMMERS! TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF EVERYTHING
I booked my flights through Booking.com based on the baggage allowance shown at the time of purchase, which clearly included 7 kg cabin baggage on the return flight. I even took screenshots as proof.

After ticket issuance, the 7 kg baggage disappeared and was replaced with “personal item only.”

For over a month, I was redirected between Booking.com and Gotogate without a proper resolution. During my vacation, instead of relaxing, I had to deal with stress and uncertainty about baggage charges.

Very disappointing experience. I strongly advise taking screenshots of everything if you book through third-party platforms.

I booked two multi-city tickets through GoToGate and paid approximately $82 extra for what was advertised as a “flexible ticket” option. When I later attempted to change my flight, I was informed that additional costs would apply.

After contacting the airline directly, I was told that my ticket was issued as a standard fare and did not include airline-level flexibility. When I contacted GoToGate, I was informed that the flexibility purchased is an agency product and that customers are still responsible for paying any fare difference and applicable change fees.

Although this may be stated in the terms and conditions, the labeling of this product as a “flexible ticket” can be misleading. Many travelers reasonably expect a flexible ticket to provide airline-level flexibility, such as reduced or waived change fees. In this case, the product appears to function as a change-assistance service rather than true fare flexibility.

I encourage future customers to carefully review the detailed terms before purchasing this add-on and to consider booking directly with the airline if flexibility is important.

Very disappointing experience with GoToGate. I booked a flight with a stopover in Amman, and nowhere during the booking process was it clearly stated that I would need to obtain a visa in order to board my next flight.

At the airport I was forced to pay for a visa during transit, which was expensive and caused significant stress due to long queues and the real risk of missing my connection.

Customer service was unhelpful and refused to offer any gesture of goodwill, despite the lack of clear information at the time of booking. Poor transparency and even worse support. I will not book through GoToGate again.

EDIT // Gotogate’s reply is completely unrelated to my complaint. Reading it, you really start to wonder about their intellectual level 😂😂

UPDATE – STILL NO REFUND
This is no longer a delay, it is unacceptable.
My flight was cancelled on 19 January 2026.
I requested a full refund immediately.
As of 26 February 2026, GoToGate has still not refunded my money.
Their response is a generic template:
- No confirmation that the refund is approved
- No payment date
- No transaction reference
- No accountability
I have now escalated the case to:
• ARN (Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes)
• ECC-Net (European Consumer Centre)
This company keeps hiding behind “airline schedule changes” while holding customers’ money for weeks.
If you book through GoToGate, be prepared to fight to get your own money back.
This review will remain public until the refund is completed.

I booked flights through GoToGate (booking reference WWBHIM) for Istanbul–Osaka and Tokyo–Istanbul with China Southern Airlines.
The flights were cancelled by the airline due to a schedule change. No services were provided. Despite this, GoToGate failed to complete a full refund within a reasonable time.
In written communication, GoToGate provided contradictory statements: first confirming that the refund had been approved and received, and later stating that the refund had not been received from the airline.
As a result, I was forced to purchase new tickets with another airline.
Since the issue remained unresolved, I have formally submitted a complaint to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). The case is now under official review.
I strongly advise other customers to be cautious. Based on my experience, GoToGate delays refunds and shifts responsibility instead of resolving issues transparently.

My AirAsia flight (Jan 21) was delayed for over 6 hours. AirAsia officially offered a "Full Refund" option, which I selected.
Gotogate forced me to cancel my entire round-trip booking and sent me an official email stating: "We have canceled your booking as requested and will apply for a refund from the airline."
However, AirAsia later denied the refund and closed the case. When I contacted Gotogate, they told me to ignore AirAsia’s email and just "wait." It has been over a month now! Gotogate keeps saying "we are still waiting for the airline," while AirAsia says the case is closed.
I am completely stuck in this endless loop of blame-shifting. I have not received the service I paid for, and both companies are holding my money hostage. If this is not resolved immediately, I will initiate a chargeback through my credit card bank for "Services Not Provided."

Very poor service. I would strongly advise against booking flights with them. They do not provide proper support if you need to change or cancel within 24 hours, and instead make unreasonable excuses to avoid giving your money back. Completely unacceptable service. Avoid them if you value your time and money.

I had a very negative experience with GoToGate and would not recommend them.
I booked a return ticket from Manchester to Colombo through their website. GoToGate presented it as a normal return trip, but they actually bundled two completely separate one‑way tickets on different airlines. My outbound was on one airline, and my return flight was on IndiGo.
A few weeks after booking, IndiGo cancelled my return flight. Instead of helping me find an alternative flight, GoToGate simply told me they could only process a refund for the cancelled return leg, nothing more.
This leaves me in a terrible position:
I now have to buy a last‑minute one‑way return ticket with a different airline, which is much more expensive than the refund they offered. GoToGate refuses to help, even though they were the ones who packaged the itinerary and sold it as a return ticket.
I feel completely misled. A genuine return booking should come with some level of protection, and a reputable agent would help find an alternate flight or at least offer a proper solution instead of pushing the problem back onto the customer.
Be very careful when booking through GoToGate. What looks like a cheap return fare may actually be two separate tickets, and if anything goes wrong, you’re on your own.

I bought a ticket from Stockholm to Kiruna, and after they ramp the price up with every step, before you know it you pay more than you'd pay the same ticket with any other online booking site, I paid 850 USD for two the tickets, and the same tickets were sold at 674 USD in Expedia. Scam company! The mails, correspondence, call canter is all to set up customers through highly paid ads to lure in with initially cheaper pricing then increasing with all add ons.
