Appalling incompetence. Company sent out incorrect hat. It was a totally different brand from the one I ordered and much much poorer in quality than my original order. I felt totally ripped off. It was all so convoluted and time consuming trying to get them to send the correct hat that in the end I gave up. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Ordered a Kangol pork pie hat late on a Sunday and received it on Thursday. Sizing was perfect using their sizing guide, I’m between sizes so ordered the larger size and used a hat resizing band and I am more than happy with it.There is a lot of bad reviews for Village Hats which I think is an American company but the UK branch, if they are the same company, I would definitely order from again.
I've bought a few hats from this retailer over the years and always enjoyed good service and prompt deliver. However, I recently bought a hat for my son for his birthday. I order navy and they sent a red one. Even knowing that there were only three days until my son's birthday, they wouldn't send a replacement without me having to post the wrong one back. They then said they would pay for expedited delivery of the correct hat. They didn't. The consequence is that my son's birthday has gone. And still no hat. Why, when it was clearly their fault, did they not just do the right thing and send a replacement straight away, guaranteed next day delivery??? Staggeringly poor customer service.
Really disappointed with Village Hats service. Used their online guidance to buy the right hat size & the one they sent me was too large. Contacted them on 7th June & they asked me to send it back. After 3 weeks of chasing by phone & e-mail I still have not got back the right sized hat or a refund for the postage. I used to recommend this brand to others but now I wouldn’t.
I recently ordered and paid for a cap that was supposed to be Dark Blue. On delivery it turned out to be Black and several of my neighbours agreed. After returning it at my own expense for an exchange (they promised to refund the postage) I have now received an email to say that their Customer Service team considers the cap to be Dark Blue and I am therefore wrong! Maybe their "Customer Service team" is colour-blind? We'll now see if the send me a refund for the cap and return postage as promised... But who needs this kind of hassle?
I disagree if with the negative comments regarding quality. There was a bit of a confusion with my order which I put down to the current situation but I found them to be attentive and as responsive as the situation allowed. I've seen a few comments about items being returned to sender, that's what I had so I'd triple check your delivery details before confirming.. or they might have a dodgy printer.
Very Poor Customer Service I ordered three separate hats, but they failed to deliver one at all and two of one hat.I made them aware, they refused to send out the missing hat until they had received the hat delivered in error which I felt was a little poor given it was their mistake. I sent off the hat and three weeks later no replacement had arrived I had to chase the replacement. I know there are challenges at the moment but just very very poor, not good enough.
