I had my hair done by lovely Laila at headmasters hammersmith, she was so kind and patient explaining which treatment would look best, be affordable and give the look I wanted. The process in total took 6 hours of bleaching toning and styling, as someone with anxiety this was quite daunting but her kind manner, skill and genuine desire to give a wonderful experience meant I was comfortable to relax, ask for tea and even borrow a phone charger! This is all before the fact she has left my hair looking FANTASTIC, I feel so confident and have attached a picture of the finished results. I will be suggesting to everyone to ask for Laila as she was so kind, but everyone working seemed great ❤️
Be aware that if you are arranging a model appointment with a training stylist then they are able to not complete your requests and the company thinks this is acceptable. I requested highlights and a cut for an event on the weekend. Took the day off on the Thursday to only be told as soon as i entered the salon that they wouldn't have time to cut my hair. When initially booking the appointment they said the colour and cut would be fine but only the colour was completed. I also was charged a fee for 'styling' even though i was quite literally told they would not be able to style my hair- they charged me anyway.I would recommend getting a guarantee from who you book with that they need to complete all you ask for and make sure they have booked you in with enough time- not tell you you can't get half of what you requested as soon as you enter your appointment. Shocking customer service.
Visited Orpington branch . Had great professional and honest advice from Kelly. She did a fantastic job and gave me a complete makeover. Already had many compliments and have been asked which hair salon I use . Also very happy with the birthday treat . Can’t fault it . Booked in already for the next appointment.
I’ve been visiting Headmasters for years and have always trusted their stylists. However, I went to Headmasters Croydon on 1st August and had a terrible experience. After having highlights I noticed when the stylist brushed my hair there was a clump of hair on the floor (before cutting). I then got home and when I washed my hair it was breaking off in clumps and felt elastic and almost had a gummy feel about it. It also had a very visible block patch of bleach at the front. I called the salon and they told me to come in for a treatment, the manager said the stylist had used a peroxide much too harsh for my hair and also left it on for too long. He said he couldn’t do anything about the block of colour though as didn’t want to put any more colour on my hair because it was so damaged which was understandable. I was given the treatment for free but when I asked for a full refund on the original appointment he said he couldn’t do this and I would have to contact head office. I did this and have had multiple emails back saying that I would need to attend the salon for a consultation before they could give a refund despite me saying multiple times that I had already been in. I said I was frustrated that my emails haven’t been properly read and have not had a reply since which is even more frustrating. Not only is my hair still breaking and in an awful state, I have also had to purchase expensive treatments for home so am considerably out of pocket, this is so disappointing and frustrating.
Barbara is a great hairdresser. I have very fine hair and few people are able to cut it to a standard that I am happy with. I have been going to Barbara for over 20 years and have followed her when she has moved Salons. I now have to travel for an hour to get to her salon but it is worth it. If I have ever had to get my hair cut by anyone else, it has never been as good as what Barbara has cut. I have only ever let her colour my hair as I have complete faith in her. and she has never let me down. She listens to what you want, and is realistic about what she can do with your hair. I have seen her with other clients and their hair always looks fantastic. I even used to bring my mother (1.5 hr journey) to get her hair cut if she was going to a special occasion and Barbara never disappointed. She runs a great salon and I highly recommend her and her salon.
I visited Headmasters Sutton today and had an absolutely amazing experience!I have been looked after by this branch for a good few years and have always been very pleased.Today was outstanding!Kara looked after me and was absolutely brilliant in every way. She was confident, friendly and went above and beyond to give me the best haircut and colour! I can’t praise her enough! She was absolutely brilliant! I’ve been going to Headmasters in Tunbridge Wells for 14 years and have had wonderful service for all of that time. Staff are professional, friendly, up to date with recent trends and training and always communicate what they will be doing and the cost before an appointment begins. They always appear to enjoy their jobs and there’s a real feeling of teamwork. I love their loyalty scheme which is such good value, the special offers on gift cards, colour sales and the online booking service which allows a choice of stylist. With careful planning there are substantial savings to be made. I have recently moved to another country and I really miss my appointments and the fabulous head massages. If I return to the UK on a visit I will make sure that I book an appointment beforehand. I’ve always said that I would still go to Headmasters just for the people and the great atmosphere, even if they didn’t even touch my hair!
I am obliged to give headmasters one star on trustpilot, but honestly, I wouldn’t give it even that my experience from start to finish was horrible, I made an appointment in advance explaining it was my daughter’s wedding in the next few days abroad, I explained what I wanted and even showed them the clip on hairpiece I brought as my hair was so thin and wanted a match as close as possible.This is where communication clearly stopped, I was given a hairdresser who spoke Little to no English, and clearly did not understand any of the request I asked for, ( Manager was listening to every word )even the haircut where I asked for just a trim was a full haircut So even shorter than I wanted , The golden blonde I was expecting was created as ash blonde, I was devastated. I didn’t know what to say but left the hairdressers, My family took one look and told me to call them to get this rectified immediately( We were flying out the following morning) The manager finally acknowledged me via her assistant and asked me to come in that evening, She did her best rectify it I guess And admitted that her hairdresser had not done it correctly ( Then why didn’t she say so in the shop as she clearly witnessed it? ) again I was asking for the colour very similar to the hairpiece I had which was a golden blonde, she proceeded to tell me how no one wants that colour anymore but she would do as I asked in front of my friend. Also she constantly laughed and said no one wants that colour As it’s so old-fashioned, I left the shop after not happy, thankful it wasn’t asked at least Ash but made to feel horrible, Would I repeat another session in that salon? Absolutely not 😪
