I have always travel from USA to Sofia via Heathrow London airport for the last 12 years now due to the fact they have good connections with American Airlines flights. It used to be OK till now!
Last year my luggage was lost at London.
British employees from Sofia request to be delivered to Sofia at the next day.
I’ve got my suitcase 2 weeks later!
They sent it to San Francisco - 3 times instead of sending it to Sofia.
It was hard to believe the people working at Heathrow don’t know English.
They have got confused with SOF (Sofia int. Airport) and
SFO ( San Francisco airport) - 3 times.
Unbelievable, but So True!
I’ve made a claim that nobody bother to address.
The so called British employees at this airport think they are much better than everybody else for some reason!
The Truth is that they are Rude and Lazy to get their job done!
I was traveling from London to Miami on January 25, 2026. At the gates the employee at the scanner told me with his broken Indian English, that I can do whatever I want after he is done with me. I got speechless . He was stinky and evidently needed a shower. The girl who checked for no reason my personal belongings into my carry on was with dirty hand and also was Rude and inconsiderate.
She made my clean beautiful clothings a mess touching every single one of them.
I called for a supervisor. The supervisor arrived to let me know that: “Security is a security!”
I told her that was not a security , but pure harassment. After I asked her to give me the names - she disappeared and she was nowhere to be found.
An arrogance at this level is scary!
Is that the face of Great Britain nowadays!?!
Ugly!
However, the rating of 1.5 out of 5 is a great dam achievement , isn’t it?

Horrible blond girl untrained stroppy when I requested she changed her gloves touched my chest inappropriately.
I asked whether she is a lesson she looked horrified 😂 thought I'd get my own back.
All grossly incompetent in desperate need in training.
Next time I will wear a tracksuit with open toe flip flops then change before i board.
I am writing to formally complain about the behavior of a staff member at the information desk in the terminal on 10 January 2026 around 03:30am. My travel companion and I approached the information point to ask simple questions about departure and security opening times. As we are not frequent travelers at this location, we needed clarification to ensure we were in the right place at the right time. The staff member, a woman with light-colored eyes and her hair pulled up, responded with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. Her tone suggested we should have prior knowledge, and she made comments like 'the signs are clear,' in a condescending way. She abruptly informed us that security gates open at 04:30, implying that our inquiry was an inconvenience. Her conduct was unprofessional, and I insist this matter be investigated. CCTV should be able to verify our interaction at that time and date, and I will continue to pursue this complaint until it is addressed.
The treatment of elderly and disabled individuals at the airport was extremely rude and unhelpful, with pressure to leave without assistance. One representative was particularly aggressive toward a disabled person and an elderly pensioner. Additionally, staff at the information desk and security seemed to misuse homeless vouchers for their personal meals instead of helping those in need.

I returned to Terminal 3 on Sunday morning, and the situation was a total mess. There was no information about ongoing incidents, leading to chaos throughout the airport. It felt like there were many staff members wandering around without providing any useful information. This airport is a joke on a global scale.
If I could, I would rate it a half-star. Terminal 2 was appalling. We ordered two wheelchairs for my elderly parents, but only one arrived, forcing my mother to walk. When I finally found a wheelchair, the staff at the assistance desk were unhelpful, barely speaking English and not offering any assistance. It was a frustrating experience, and it’s hard to believe travelers pay for such poor service.
