Hern and Crabtree, Whitchurch, sold my home for me this year (2019). What a fantastic team this office are, they have been enthusiastic, professional and supportive throughout the whole experience. They have looked after my elderly dog during viewings, kept me updated throughout the sales process and thoroughly supported me through an undulating sale and purchase. They have had time for all my questions whether by email, telephone, or impromptu office visits. Anna, Annamarie and Annie were so positive and encouraging throughout the sales process and Jan’s professionalism and knowledge has supported me through to exchange and completion. I am very grateful, a huge thank you to you all. I would highly recommend using this estate agent to anyone looking to move home.
Having just sold our home through Hern & Crabtree and purchased through a different estate agent company in Rhiwbina, the difference in service, professionalism and attitude could not have been more different. From the initial valuation, Anthony - Manager @ the Heath office - filled us with confidence regarding the process and what level of service we could expect, and throughout, Anthony and his colleagues in the Heath office, did not disappoint. The valuation was accurate and his promise of viewings was spot on (20 in the first weekend!!), which meant that we were able to achieve over asking price by leveraging the initial interest in our house.Special mention also to Jan, sales progression, who frankly puts many other estate agents and solicitors to shame. In this age of technology there is no reason why accurate updates can’t be provided in a timely way, and those who tried to do as little as possible and let things ‘trundle’ along, were given short shrift by Jan...who kept in regular contact with all parties in the chain to ensure we exchanged and completed in good time.Having moved a number of times this is one of the few that I have genuinely felt that the estate agency has earned their commission, and this review!! We have recommended H&C to a number of friends and they have been equally impressed by what they’ve seen & experienced. Well done…and thank you Anthony, Jan & the H&C team!Pete, Helen & (baby) James.
We used Hern and Crabtree in Caerphilly Road. From the very first meeting they were not just friendly and professional but honest to a tee. Something you don’t always find with estate agents. Their advice and understanding about our needs and life were invaluable. We eventually found a house also listed with them as well as selling ours with them. This turned out to be invaluable. They helped the process enormously letting us visit the new house many times to measure up and Jan in the sales progress role was the most wonderful person to deal with through a stressful time. We had some issues with our vendor not being able to move out on time, so Antony even came and moved her belongings on the day - above and beyond the service of an estate agent!

We sold our house a bit in a hurry as we only put it on sale after we had made, and have accepted, an offer. It was very stressful, particularly when we had to decide between competing offers. Anna at Hern and Crabtree was incredibly useful at this, the most complicated stage, and guided us through the negotiation and decision while allowing us to be in control. The Hern & Crabtree was our choice when we decided to sell our home in Cardiff last summer, and it was the BEST DECISION we ever made. They were outstanding, very professional and very friendly.We spoke with Tom, from the Hern&Crabtree, on the phone and then we met with him at our home. He answered all our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and providing tons of info on the property market in the area.Tom came back to us with very realistic and fair valuation; then, within a few days Ben, from Hern&Crabtre, came to our property to take the pictures of our apartment. Everything was very quick and smooth.And ...when we saw our listing we were blown away. Their hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing!!!! Our situation was also quite specific and different than other people since we were moving abroad; and our property went on the market after we moved. The team from Hern & Crabtree Pontcanna office took care of everything: they regularly came to check on our property, informed us about all viewings before and after, and they replied to any email or any call promptly. And yes, they managed to sell the property very quickly for a price greater than our asking price was.They have been there every step of the way. Their professionalism, knowledge, honesty, and hard work ethic are much respected and appreciated.We were so fortunate to choose Hern & Crabtree and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.
