I've had the device for 3 weeks now and is far superior to the cuff based monitoring as it is over 24 hours. It is averaging about 35 readings per day. I suffer from white coat syndrome and I also get anxiety using a cuff at home - my anxiety rises as the cuff deflates in anticipation of an unwanted high reading. So the Aktiia is ideal for me as I can just wear it and forget about it. The Aktiia has clearly shown me how much controlling my stress levels improves my bp readings.I look forward to the waterproof version!
After a few years of monitoring my blood pressure to control my hypertension and finding it difficult to keep on top of the amount of readings required to get the level of insight I wanted I heard about Aktiia. The passive readings taken throughout the day have really helped me to get a better insight and take control of blood pressure.
I reported an accuracy issue to the support team, where the cuff was reading different numbers to multiple medical grade BP monitors.. I received this feedback and was encouraged by the repy that this would be dealt with…“Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that your device does not seem to be working properly. … there is not going to be a way to make Aktiia work for you at the moment and we will have to proceed with return and refund. “ - Klaudia Korenova Aktiia SupportHowever, since this offer (3 weeks ago) of accepting a return, the support team have IGNORED all 4 of my emails.. on the same support ticket. I’m very disappointed in this poor customer support… as well as being disappointed by the product accuracy..
All was going well for about a week and then my wrist started breaking out in sores as it was irritated by the strap. I've contacted Aktiia 4 times about this, with no success!! I've got in touch again today as wish to return the device as I cant wear it - let's see if I get a response!!
Had the unit for one morning, unfortunately missed the fine print that it was not waterproof....is listed in small print in the manual. My fault but they should mark it clearly, it would have helped.As it was my fault, they would not help me remedy and could not fix it.
