Be Careful

I add to the growing number of people who are very unhappy about the level of customer support for this product. The product is good when it’s working but when anything goes wrong there is literally zero support. I reported an issue in June and still haven’t received support. I am also finding that over time this product can become quite erratic and you need to reinitialise several times to make sure it’s consistent with a standard device (e.g Omron). I hadn’t used for awhile and when first used again the readings were way off what I normally am and not consistent with the standard Omron readings. It took several reinitializations and knowing what was reasonable for my blood pressure range for the product to start giving sensible readings. As a consequence I have lost any trust in this product and particularly with the poor level of customer support. In parallel with this the two-year warranty means nothing as they don’t reply to you! It’s such a pity as the concept of the product is great.

A real pain to set up

A real pain to set up. Sometimes it likes the wrist monitor to be painfully tight. Other times it likes it loose and floppy. It also reads consistently higher than my Omron monitor. Possibly because of the hassle of setting it up.

The wrist band made my wrist sore and I had to stop wearing it.I also found it inaccurate against my normal bp cuff tester.

Poor support, poor longevity of the device.

While the device works, it works well and gives good insight to your BP. However, the device has now stopped working completely. Support take a very long time to reply, and when I did get the reply, I was told they can’t help as the device is just out of the 2 year warranty. No further advice or assistance was given. £199 for a device that works for 2 years is a very expensive purchase. If anything, Aktiia should actively be looking in to issues from longer-term users to improve the device.Overall, poor support, poor longevity of the device. I would advise to avoid Aktiia completely and await for one of the other smartwatch companies to incorporate this technology in to their devices - it’s only a matter of time and likely not long now. Unless Aktiia support their users, they will fold as a company. Disappointed in Aktiia.

I question the accuracy

I question the accuracy, not on scientific grounds, but because BP at the doctor’s office is always 10-20 points higher than what the app says. Otherwise it is sometimes difficult to manage, doesn’t always give a reading, and the monthly recalibration process never works the first time.

Buyer Beware

It's a lot of cash to part with, number one. The set up process was straight forward enough and the phone app seemed clear and user friendly. My gripes:1.Readings are CONSISTENTLY elevated. I use a regular cuff to measure my BP, using approved cuffs from AND and OMRON. These are consistent and Aktiia is not. (Cuff readings are taken with all prep protocols in place.) Aktiia readings always record higher values. 2. Readings are haphazard and routinely miss out the night. Sometimes parts of the day. 3. Checking timings on the Aktiia readings some have been taken (a time is always indicated on the report you can produce on the app) when I am actually doing my daily cardio-vascular workout. So my BP will obviously be higher.I hoped this would be a helpful addition to manage my health but I have to say it is disappointing and an expensive error on my part.

Atria Poor Customer Service

I ordered and took delivery of a continuous BP machine and could not charge the BP cuff (would not charge) so therefore could not use the goods. So far after over a week of waiting for customer services to respond I have heard nothing. Currently if zero was an option as a score for this company that is what I would give it.

without the huge pressure cuff it doesn't work

just purchased it's a scam the watch doesn't measure the pressure. it comes with a big standard pressure cuff machine. so it's not actually portable.
