Review Time
Always order from them, have done so for years, so thought I'd order my Christmas stuff early, that way I'd get everything I ordered, or so I thought. I placed the order on a Thursday, then received a message the following Tuesday saying one item was out of stock (penguin selector), not much of a problem they just replaced it with another flavour, but it was in stock when I ordered. Then I received yet another email the same day to say the rum and raisin velvetised cream I wanted also out of stock! When I ordered it 5 days before it was in stock, so very disappointed. Why did it take so long to get my order together? If they'd have been quicker I would have got my full order.
The hotel chocolat delivery was left right on my doorstep even though we have a side alley and could have been left in a less conspicuous place very easily. or left with neighbours. We live in a nice area, but nothing is safe. The delivery was stolen almost immediately as I was at home 20 minutes after I received the message that is had been delivered.I would ask that delivery people use their judgement. I won't be ordering from Hotel Chocolat online again
Placed an order in QVC for a delivery by end of September 2025. I received an email from QVC that there was a problem and would not get delivery till around19th October. I decided to cancel the order but having problems with QVC in the cancellation and QVC are saying it is the fault of Hotel Chocolat that they are awaiting a response from Hotel Chocolat confirming the order is indeed cancelled
I do not have a problem with Hotel Chocolate, beautiful presented and always very tasty. It's now the second time they have been delivered by Amazon, and why they can't be bothered to ring the doorbell or knock the knocker is beyond me. Left on top of the wall by my front door in sunshine in full sight, when with a bit of forethought they could of placed them in the porch out of the sun out of sight once again disappointed with delivery
My wife and I visited the Northallerton branch of Hotel Chocolat todayThe service we received from Hazel and Felix was outstanding. They both portrayed a thoroughly professional attitude and are a credit to the company. Their service makes me want to use that branch again.
I bought an everything H box in Carlisle yesterday. When i got home, i noticed they were all a little bloomed. They all tasted musty as well. So in the bin they went. Shame but i can only assume the chocs had been a few weeks on the shelf. Next time i will look more carefully through the cellophane film!
Their Customer Service team do not read emails and keep asking for the same info several times. When I did speak to an actual person, she kept repeating herself, over and over again. They didn't handle my complaint with respect or any acknowledgement on how I was feeling. Will stick to Lindt.
