The alcohol is overpriced. The Hotel Chocolate liqueur is inferior in quality to a liqueur I won't mention, but which everyone knows. Some candies are tasty, some are not so tasty. The website doesn't accept vouchers. I placed my first order with a subscription and discount, but the website didn't accept it.
I like the products - I just wish the website worked. It's so often almost impossible to place an order. Today's issue - tried paying via PayPal (I'm on holiday and want to send a birthday present) but the site kept saying something on my order was out of stick, yet the shopping basket showed everything was in stock. Impossible to progress, Tried 3 times. I guess I need to find a different chocolatier as this is too hard. I would say 80% of the time I have problems with this website. No idea why they don't fix it.
I love Chocolate Latte in the velvetiser but it seems that the item has been altered and now being sold as Chocolate Mocha Latte. While that doesn't sound much different, there is now no flavour. I'm so disappointed I shall not be buying again.
After 3 years Velvetiser stopped heating drinks. Spoke to Hotel Chocolate who have advised 'too bad' as its out of 12 month warranty! To only cover such an expensive item for 12 months is ridiculous but to be honest I didn't ever think it would be a problem as it was made by Dualit. This was originally bought as a birthday present for my mum. It has only ever been used as directed and with HC sachets. As a result of their appalling attitude we won't ever recommend (as I have done to several friends) and will never shop with Hotel Chocolate again due to their 'too bad' attitude to customers!
Just about the poorest customer of any subscription service that I use. Slow to process orders, slow to dispatch, slow delivery service - you really need to learn from other premium subscription providers Hotel Chocolat!
