Review Time
Paid for next day delivery. Been waiting for 5 days for my order, which for some unknow reason is being managed by Amazon Loogistics - who has now subcontracted the delivery to Royal Mail. Why would a company with such high customer satisfaction scores allow Amazon (who has a terrible reputation) to deliver their products? Amazon clearly doesn't care about HC's customers and neither does Royal Mail.My recommendation - don't waste money on next day delivery and where possible just go to one of the HC shops.
Outstanding customer service. A present sent to my daughter went missing when left on her doorstep. Hotel C responded promptly to my concerns and sent out a replacement. I have given only 4 stars because delivery seems to be a problem on lots of reviews. Maybe Hotel C should look for another courier? Otherwise, all great and fantastic chocolate.
When I discovered NUTMILK hot chocolate in your store I felt like found heaven on earth. It made me buy Velvetiser (used, no thanks for a new one for £100+) and a large NUTMILK sachet I was so happy to make at home, the entire pack was £14.95 instead of 1 small cup for £5.95 in the shop each time. SADLY, joy didn't last long AT ALL. You no longer can buy those sachets, whichever flavour you fancy, with the most stupid excuse in the shop - coz they had nowhere to display them. INSTEAD, they introduced a new box (read extra money wasted on packaging + individual sachets) and WORST PART IS that amount in them is SO TINY that you can BARELY FEEL that nutmilk now = watered down version. WHY does something good always get changed to absolute nonsense? Gonna finish what's left and sell my velvetiser away too. Just NO LONGER MAKES ANY SENSE
Visited the Skipton store for a hot chocolate as a treat. There were several empty tables downstairs but all were dirty with used crockery on them. I was the only person in the queue so I asked the man if he could please wipe our table as there was a drink spilled on it. He told me that it wasn’t yet time to clear the tables and why didn’t I just sit upstairs. How did he know we were physically able to go up the stairs ? The 2 girls behind the counter were shocked and embarrassed by his attitude towards me. If my drinks had not already been made I would have left. What should have been a treat was just an uncomfortable experience. We were glad to leave and won’t be back.
A huge Hotel Chocolat fan, it’s been a joy to see local stores opening up. Today we went to our Longbridge shop and had 3 Black Forest Gateau Velvetiers. When tasting, they were bland and tasteless, nothing like the sachets I have at home. I asked the lady to add some flakes but all she could do was re-make the same. What has happened to your gorgeous flavours? A very disappointing experience.
