shit company and predatory they make it very hard to cancel i would not recommend going with them at all if you can avoid it. If you lose your mobile number you cannot actually get in touch with them. And then they email to fix the problem just spouting I need my mobile number to cancel again this company is an actual joke. Just don’t go with them use your existing provider like EE or O2 least they have no automated customer service.
I signed up for a month rolling only SIM contract, giving them my existing number for porting, my mobile service was disconnected as a result of porting, but I never received the ID SIM through the post. I was asked by the ID Chat line to get a replacement SIM from a Curry’s store, but activation process was sending OTP codes to my number that has been disconnected as a result of the porting. It has been three days without mobile service and I still trying to resolve the issue, despite of visiting a Curry’s store and it is still not resolved. Their chat line is too slow to replay to the messages and it gets disconnected frequently. That’s mean starting a new conversation every time. So avoid ID Mobile at all cost, you will only get frustrations and waste of time.
I contacted ID mobile in very sad circumstances - my husband died suddenly in June and I needed to contact them to ask to reinstate the number for my 12 year daughter's comfort. I spoke to Chanique on Live Chat - I thought it was going to be another bot, but she was the loveliest, kindest person I've ever spoken to on customer service - and over the past few months I've spoken to a LOT of people across various companies/organisations to inform them of my husband's death. Most of whom have been vaguely sympathetic but it sounded fake and robotic. Chanique was so lovely and kind and it felt so genuine and warm. Actually brought tears to my eyes. I was so touched by the experience and her humanity.I hope she is valued at Id Mobile by her colleagues and line manager - she should lead training initiatives, she's fab. So many companies can learn a lot from Chanique. If you're reading this - thank you again. May you go far in your career. I hope our paths will cross again (if that doesn't sound too creepy)! Thank you.
