Review Time
Terrible customer service. Ordered a new Google pixel 10 pro as an upgrade a week ago which never arrived, with no emails received about delivery from ID mobile or a courier, just 3 emails reminding me about my new bill and a cost to pay covering the rest of the month between my old and new bills. The delivery should have been by Tuesday when ordered on Sunday. I received a further rather confusing email yesterday congratulating me on my new plan, which was now for a much lower cost. I contacted ID mobile via the live chat for an update during the week and spoke to a useless robot but tried again today and after eventually got through to a human after giving the correct answers. I was told the phone was on its way back to the warehouse and I would need to reorder it. I assume the email yesterday re the new lower bill was due to bring reverted back to something close to my old plan, without any communication with me about what was going on. The woman I spoke to was not particularly helpful and I had to drag answers out of her. When looking to re order online, the price of the plan has now gone up another £2 a month, which I am unhappy to accept paying. I also need to wait for the upfront cost to be refunded. It is also frustrating that the deals for new customers are much cheaper than those for existing customers upgrading after being with them for 2 years and after being messed around waiting for the phone to come the price increasing further. It is hard to find a phone number to contact customer services and speak to someone directly about this.
I went from Vodafone.
It works perfectly now, but I had a problem during the first week: I was not able to get/receive calls or texts.
All you need to do is upgrade your phone number manually in your phone settings(= rewrite your phone number starting with +44).
Wonderful Sandra from the customer support team sent me a detailed explanation on how to do it because I am not familiar with technology.
Do not be afraid to change a mobile provider. It is a bit cheaper than Vodafone. But be aware that you may need to upgrade your phone number after this.
Sundra from customer support is the best person I've spoken with in the last few years.
This review is not about ID Mobile it's about a guy on Instagram WhatsApp he calls himself global ID master do not order from him he's a thief and then he promises that he'll send the ID if you'll go write him some good reviews first this guy's an idiot and a thief don't waste your money
This appalling company lost my new iPhone 17 with their delivery partners then refused to allow me to cancel my order and insisted that I wait 21 days for an internal investigation to take place. Best avoided if you value customer service.
iD mobile will not let me phone my elderly mother in Ireland. I keep getting the message to top up my account and/or increase my spending cap on my account.
I did both but still getting the same message. Trying to contact iD mobile is impossible. The chat bot doesn't work neither does Facebook messenger.
I'm currently on hold waiting for the complaints team to answer, it's been 10 minutes so far!
Call was answered but apparently they couldn't hear me, they called me back but hung up when I answered.
Update, iD mobile called the next day to apologise for what was an isolated network issue. My phone will now call abroad so I have changed the review score from 1 to 3 stars.
I have just this week tried to set up 2 x mobile accounts online but there are several issues with what I have received online. I have tried to contact them on contact us and complaints but nothing works. have spent 1.5 hours on live chat and got know where. I was told to send my problem to documents but as of yet have heard nothing. If this is trying to set up an account what hope do I have, I do not think that anyone is capable of sorting out any simple problems.
If it is impossible to try and set up accounts what hope does anyone have !!!! This is very sad !!!
If you live in Northern Ireland dont bother. I live in Tyrone and 70% of the time I had emergency calls only and the other 30% was roaming. Actually can't believe how utterly terrible the signal is. I have switched 4 days after getting with ID mobile because it is worse than abysmal.
Got a brilliant deal on an iphone 14 for my child. The handset was only £29 upfront and the sim is all unlimited data, calls and texts. The sim and handset combined are less than £30 per month which you can’t get anywhere else! Signals not too bad where i am either.
Oh Identified a default account on my credit file stating ID mobile , account sent up in 2024 at an address i sold in 2020. I therefore have no account number , reference or mobile number so eventually i got a number for Customer Complaints as no one else would help me through normal Customer service.
Eventually found the record in question and its been flagged as a fraud account , can i get it removed from my credit file. No its gots to go through Fraud team and they can take upto 30 working days , unacceptable if I'm the fraud victim . I cant make a formal complaint as I don't have an account number apparently . Ive asked to speak to a senior member at ID mobile who can resolve but apparently this will take 48 hours ,
terrible customer service with a complaints system that can only deal with verified customers and not fraud victims.
In the meantime i cant get my credit file amended for 30 working days and I've been refused credit which as a result has caused me to suffer stress both financially and personally
Absolutely shockingly appalling customer service
Please note ID mobiles reply to me, pathetic. They want my ID mobile number to understand what's happened. Read my review you idiots. I dont have an ID mobile number because you allowed a fraud to take place
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Sneaky and misleading, loosing contracts and bad customer service. Never ever had a single issue with any different providers. When the first contract came to an end last year, my husband recieved a phonecall to renew his contract with a "30 day rolling contract" but 1-2 months later they rang again. He explained that he's already signed a contract however after checking his bank statement, he was still being charged the original higher amount from the old contract and the new signed contract was nowhere on their system. The 2nd time he signed, my husband asked for the same as before however instead of a 30 day rolling contract, they sneakily sent a 12 month contract. Today whilst talking to an assistant, he asked not to be cut off from the chat as his emails were struggling to sinc however they closed the chat anyway. As soon as the contract ends (we'll be charged the remaining contract amount for leaving), we're switching and never using this company again.
