Extremely Disappointing Experience: Faulty Treadmill, Terrible Customer Service, and Incompetent TechniciansI am writing to express my utter frustration with iFit, NordicTrack, and Best Buy regarding a NordicTrack Commercial 1250 treadmill purchase made four months ago. Since the initial purchase, my treadmill has been virtually unusable, and the customer service I’ve received has been nothing short of abysmal. I feel compelled to share this experience to warn others considering a purchase with these companies.1. Faulty Product from the StartUpon receiving the treadmill, it was delivered broken, rendering it unusable. I immediately contacted customer service to address the issue. In response, I was sent defective parts as replacements. Despite the treadmill being under warranty, iFit/NordicTrack has failed to rectify the situation. My husband and I have almost injured ourselves on multiple different occasions in attempt to use the treadmill. Despite being well under the weight limit for this unit.2. Incompetent and Unqualified TechniciansI’ve had the misfortune of having the same technician three different times, sent to "fix" the treadmill. Each visit has been a complete waste of time and money. The technician have been incompetent and unable to resolve the issue, further prolonging the nightmare.3. Customer Service’s Inaction and MisguidanceThe customer service provided by iFit and NordicTrack has been nothing short of negligent. I have spent hours on the phone, each time speaking with different representatives who offer no assistance, provide conflicting information, and fail to take any responsibility. I have spoken to Wilma Bascon, Christian Castro to name of few of inept customer service representatives. Wilma even went so far as to “promise” that her supervisor John Limon would call me back to help me with my complaints. I am still waiting on that call, its been over 4 weeks! On one occasion, I was even given unsafe advice, such as being told to “walk towards the back of the treadmill.” This advice not only makes no sense but is an unsafe practice that could result in injury.Despite the treadmill being purchased brand new from Best Buy, and under a 1-year warranty with NordicTrack and a 3-year warranty with Best Buy, I have been bounced between all three companies with no resolution. Each company seems to play the blame game, refusing to take ownership and offer a solution. I have been denied proper service and left with a broken, useless machine for the past four months.4. Legal ConcernsAs a paying customer, I am entitled to a fully functional product under the terms of the warranty agreement. It is unacceptable that I have been deprived of this, despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue. I have kept detailed records of all communications, including phone calls, emails, and technician visits, and will not hesitate to pursue legal action if this matter is not resolved promptly. This includes, but is not limited to, breach of contract, misrepresentation, and failure to provide services as agreed. It is not only frustrating but also unethical for a company to sell faulty products and then refuse to honor warranties or provide adequate support. The lack of accountability from iFit, NordicTrack, and Best Buy is astonishing, and I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the entire experience.I strongly advise potential customers to avoid purchasing any product from iFit or NordicTrack, as their customer service, technicians, and product quality have been a total failure.
I bought a Proform treadmill in December 2023, with a built-in iFIT tablet.A few weeks later, the tablet's operating system crashed and I could no longer use it. Even the reset didn't work. After a search on the internet, I discovered that many people were stuck with the same problem on their iFIT tablet, after an erroneous software update. So I decided to take the treadmill back to the supermarket, which offered me a refund. As I could no longer use iFIT, I also cancelled my iFIT subscription.A few months later, I discovered that iFit had continued to charge my credit card.I contacted the support by email so they stop the subscription and refund me. It took them weeks to answer. They never accepted to refund anything and I had to block my card. They continue to send me emails saying either they will do nothing, either they will close my support case.Absolutely not a way to manage customers. I will never buy their products again and I strongly advise anyone to avoid iFit. I discovered there is a class action against the company because they crashed the tablets systems of Fitness centers all around the world.
Be very careful when buying a treadmill that has ifit installed. I bought the nordictrack s25i. If you don't subscribe to ifit you can't use the speakers via Bluetooth for your music. So they are basically useless. I have to use my samsung Bluetooth speaker. How bad is that? Of course no one tells you and you spend ages trying to connect it. Fitness superstore don't tell you, they are clueless.
