My god this is a tragedy just waiting to happen, been put on a elevated platform against a stupid loose handrail with a 20ft drop, if I’d have took my eyes off my autistic grandson for a second he would have been dead and that’s not an exaggeration, then we had to walk against oncoming traffic with a pushchair weaving in and out of oncoming cars , I’ve pics to prove this and I will be taking this a lot further when I get home, Irish ferries you should be ashamed , didn’t even get a reply, not that it would have changed anything, taking this all the way, my footage and pictures will open eyes, amateurs
Due to a serious health issue in our family we’re not able to travel to France for our summer holiday. I contacted customer services via the text chat and spoke toPhoebe. Throughout the exchange she was kind, thoughtful and very helpful. She moved our booking to December and told me to call back when the 2026 dates are released to reschedule the trip. I was really impressed by her approach and the company’s approach to our difficult situation.
Normally I have a relatively ok experience. I do 3 return trips from Dublin to Cherbourg per year. Occasionally I get a room without a flushing toilet. This time I had a room without shower soap, without a flushing toilet and without hot water.Normally the boarding experience is poor. The people directing the traffic are not very skilled at giving directions and get very agressive when you don't immediately follow their cryptic directions. There is one particularly pig ignorant guy who is always there to ruin the first day of my holiday. To top it off this time they decided to load the ship from the front this time and none of them seemed to have a clue what they were doing. I will try Brittany ferries or fly for my next trip. I have already booked Christmas but I will cancel it.
We boarded a Dover to Calais for. 5 day break. We purchased a breakfast when we bought the tickets. The staff were confused with us buying the meal before and did not know how to process the transaction. The sausages were awful and I wouldn’t even have given them to my dogs!! We spoke to drivers who were furious as an earlier crossing had been cancelled as they said there were not enough passengers!!! Coming back the ferry was late and the safety announcements were too loud and unbearable… they must assume are all deaf!!!Never will we use this company again!!!
Bloody extortionate! I booked through direct ferries. It says get to the port 30 minutes before departure at the latest. On the outbound journey I got there 40 minutes before and at the time the ferry should have been leaving I was still sat in the queue at 3am. Not the same experience for the return, no...I got there with the 30 minutes to spare. (Maybe 28 minutes) And it was completely dead! So I had to book another. £190, including a sodding processing fee for booking online!?Get there with an hour to spare because they leave whenever.
